Anyone had a negative BT that was wrong?

I've heard of having a false negative HPT, but has anyone had a blood test for HCG levels that was neg, only to find out later on that they were actually PG?
If yes, was there any reason given?
And was the pregnancy normal and a healthy baby?

I'm interested to know if you get + HPT at home, but Doc gets a negative, if you end up pg later on...

I wanna know if it's possible to have lots of PG symptoms and be late for AF, but get a neg BT at 14DPO, only to find out later that you are actually PG.

Perhaps I am clutching at straws here :(

Oh Helen:hugs: I just read your ttc journal,
The same thing happened to me my first ivf cycle....

I was getting all the right pregnancy symptoms and even got 2 positive hpt's....when to get my BT done thinking I was pregnant and they rang to say that my levels where 2 and that it was not a viable pregnancy....

My FS said that the embryo did take but just couldn't hold on and settle, I ended up getting my AF the next day, they did another BT a week later to check and the levels were 0.....

I know it is hard darl:hugs:, but please don't do your head in too much....give it a couple more days and if af does not arrive then ask for another BT

Hels the BT pick up PG 5 days after conseption but it is a deffenet i have never heard of someone having a neg BT and still being PG.

I hope u get you BFP soon hels good luck hun.

Believe me!!
I went 7 weeks with POS tests and BT's all coming up neg..
it wasnt until i demanded a u/s and found i was 7 wks

I honestly though i had to be pg or dying because of how sick i felt !

All HPT's were neg & then when i finally had a blood test done with my g.p it came back neg too. So we did other tests to work out what was going on ... All clear so being that i had skipped AF i was advised to wait a few more weeks till my next one should be due & we would go from there !

I actually waited 6wks because i was honestly thinking AF would show up but she didnt !!! Still the HPT's said neg & we hadnt had sex since then ( im a shocker lol ) so i knew if i was pg i was around 7wks !

Went back to our g.p who said lets just do a urine test first then see what happens it wont be a BFP but its standard procedure but your tummy is sore ... It was an instant :bfp:

We both nearly fell off our chairs !!!!

Went for an u/s a day because we were worried the tenderness meant it was ectopic but luckily all was fine & was actually showing that i could be yep you guessed it 6-8wks !

Its common in my family for BFP to not show up at first ! Just like our babies measure behind to begin with like they are due later but once we hit the 3rd month they come on very strong !

AF turned up this morning so the BT was accurate after all.
It had me a bit confused as I am not normally late and I was feeling very pregnant.

Oh well, bring on the next cycle :D

I kinda know how you feel got a :bfp: on a test on Monday but since then I have only got :bfn:
