hi everyone,

I recently bought a gro bag as my bub has a habit of kicking all her covers off her. They feel so thin though - does anyone else put covers on as well as the gro bag?

I have two types, one just a light cotton one and the other like polar fleece. I put DS in a bonds jumpsuit and then depending on how cold it is I use a light/heavy blanket to tuck him in. I fold his cuffs so his hands are covered.I think they are great and I think he assosciates them with night time sleeps now.

Hello Taylasmum

I also use the gro bag (or sleeping bag as I call them!!) and had the same query as you, I put my little girl in her pyjama's,put the gro bag over the top and a blanket over the top and she always seems to be warm enough (even when she has kicked her blankets off!!) - I do suggest getting a gro bag where you can pull the cuffs over there hands as one of mine doesn't have that and her hands are freezing in the morning!!!

I have a 2.5tog gro bag (the warmest one there is) an we live in Brisbane where I guess the weather is alot warmer than Perth. It gets down to about 17C at night at the moment, I put bubs in a singlet and two piece long sleeve pyjamas plus the grobag. I don't use covers on top as it is advised not to by the makers of grobags as bubs might overheat? I've found her nice and warm in the morning and she seems fine. As it gets colder I'll put a long sleeve bodysuit under her pyjamas plus socks and I think she'll be ok. I also use a flannette fitted sheet. I'd also like to know how others find grobags? I think they're great!

That's the same grobag that I have (2.5) but it feels so thin!

I will put a singlet on and bonds wondersuit and then the grobag then with a flannel sheet and that should do! :)

I have used the grobags in Aust, the tropics and snow and found them to be great. I dont use any covers but always keep an eye on the room temperature. If bubs has cold hands use the wondersuits with fold down cuffs.
They also have a 2.5tog travel grobag that has a zip front and back so you can transfer them to and from a pram or carseat into bed. Very handy.

hi all,
i am in perth and have 1.5 grobag, its coming round to winter now and for cold night i ofte have a flannel sheet and crochet blanket on as well as a wondersuit and singlet. i think my son likes to be quite warm to sleep, the gro bag stops him kicking these blankets off too so thats really good.

in summer i had him in short sleave jumpsuit and grobag, with just a cotton sheet to hold him snuggly.

i agree about the feel of them, when i first got it i thought it was too thin but i think the way they are made makes them warmer than you think.
