should I see the doc??

Hey all,
Well with not sure if having AF or not, I did a test yesty arvo when I got home, bout 5:45pm, & I had 2 lines come up on the HPT, but the "positive" line wasn't as dark as the other.
Then tested again this morning, bout 7am, & got 2 lines, but the "positive' line was lil bit lighter than the day before.
I went back to bed, as got RDO, & thought ah what the heck I'll test again when I went to loo. This time I tested with differnt brand of HPT & it came up negative, only 1 line.

My AF hasn't really come like it usually does, so I'm thinking that what I've been having is implatation bleeding or could be 1 of those women that have bit of bleeding or spotting.
To explain, (sorry will be TMI) last Thurs i got red blood when i wiped, so thought ah bummer AF is here so wore tampon. then the next loo stop i just had brownish stuff on tampon & then rest of day & night was brownish stuff. Friday woke up & had the red blood when wiped, so wore something. next loo stop had brownish stuff, but then red blood b4 I went to bed that night, so wore pad. Woke up Saturday & nothing happened that night, just had brownish stuff when wiped. So wore nothing & then before bed I got the red blood when wiped, so wore a pad. Sunday I had nothing (clear) when I wiped & was like this for the rest of the day & night.
Monday (yesty) I didn't have anything, just clear, until lunch time when I wiped I had red blood. Then when I went again later in arvo I had brownish stuff. When i went home I took the test, & didn't have anything when I wiped.
This morning I got a bit of red blood, but 2nd trip to loo this morning I'm back to the clear stuff.

SO, what should I do?? I am :confused: now with getting 2 positives on 1 brand of HPT but getting negative on other brand

Any advice is very welcome??

Oh....well. First and i know its silly to say as you will anyway...dont get too excited. I always did.

I would go see the doctor anyhow. When i fell pregnant i did 3 tests in the arvo. First one had a 2nd faint line, 2nd one only had 1 line and the last had 2 defiant lines. So i booked in to see the doc the next day. At least they can order a blood test which will pick up early pregnancy better.

Thanks! Yeah trying not to get too excited, cause I know I"ll be really bummed this time. I'm a lil psychic & had strong feeling that i was pg March or April, & that I would have a bub for this Xmas. I just don't wana get the blood test & it comes up BFN cause then that would mean my psychic abilities are mixed up. ARGH! what can't things be simple in the making a baby process!!!!!

Would have to agree. As my girlfriend whom is a midwife said to me when it happened. Pregnancy tests are pretty spot on these days. If theres :bfp: your pregnant. Test arent like they were 20 years ago when she had her son, they are accurect these days.

Thanks! yeah I really hope it is. I"m just scared to hear that it is a BFN.
I've also got ppl saying, "ah its just stress" when I tell them about what my "af" is doing or not doing. But I haven't been that stressed this month... actually been very happy.

I haven't had normal AF symptons either....

Should I go to doc today OR wait to test 2moro morning & see what comes up again??

Maybe wait a few more days and then test again... you dont have to get a blood test at the Dr, just ask them to do a hpt the ones they have normally pick up very early preg

I had one neg and one pos with DD2 and the positive was only VERY faint... went to the Dr and it come up clear on the test they did

Sure sounds like a :bfp: to me too! Yay for you (hopefully!).

I don't think it matters whether the line is faint or not it's still a line. I heard that the 99% accurate was because all of the time a BFP is a BFP but some of the time a true positive shows as a BFN. It makes sense that a HPT wouldn't pick up HCG if there was none but may not pick up only a small amount therefore giving a false result.

Yeah thing is I don't really wana spend the money just for them to do that HPT at Docs & it comes up negative. silly I know, but money is tight for DH & I at mo.... Oh I'm really not sure what to do?!
Why do I feel like this... I'm usually 1 to go yes this is what I'm going to do, very decisive.

It sounds to me like you are pregnant!
Some tests are more sensitive than others but if you have a visible second line then it's positive. End of story.
Perhaps go and get a blood test to set your mind at rest?

Ok... yeah well I was thinking it could be implantation bleeding, esp if the bub is only in its first or 2nd week.

DH is like, well if it is + it is yay, but if not, its fine as well. AH! men are funny sometimes. DH said he won't get excited unless it really is a BFP from the doc. I just didn't want him to stress about the money side of things if do get the BFP. He said he wouldn't much, just have to really save as much as we can from time we get the "good" news until bub is here.

hhmmmm Ah I'm just going to go see the Doc to get it over & done with.
I'm sooo nervous... not like me!! Spose it is the fact that its the unknown & can't really believe it yet, cause I want the "right" answer before I get excited & let it sink in.

I totally get that you dont want to get excited and then be devastated if you are BFN, I can see from your sig that your have been TTC for a while.
But what you have described really does sound postive!
Maybe just get a little excited! Congratulations and let us know how you go.

Well after about 45mins wait to see the doc, I pee'd in the cup, & he did the HPT test. It came up :bfn: !!! :no:
So, he said, well lets do a blood test just in case. So, got a blood test, which was painful & my arm is still hurting!!
Have to wait til tomorrow morning to get results as missed 2day's run - bummer.

I asked the doc if blood test is negative, what does my HPTs mean. He said they're a false positive unfortunately. :banghead: Does anyone know why this would happen??

So, now just have to wait & see what happens.

I had to chuckle to myself that it would be funny if I am preg cause I've just bought those new Conceive Well tablets... knowing my luck it would prob happen.

Don't get too down. Going to be a long wait until tomorrow for the results but :fingerscrossed: it was a false negative at the docs.

Thanks m2m... I'm not getting myself excited because I'm going to be too bummed that didn't get a BFP. I've had a hard month this month with how I've been feeling about all the TTC thing. I've just been so frustrated & now with this happening, getting positive & negative tests, I'm even more frustrated & annoyed.

Its just weird cause I haven't had my usual AF symptons. I get bloating, nasuea, lightheadeness, break out on my face & chest with pimples, and get strong choc & diary cravings everyday of my AF. Got none of these things.
I have been feeling more tired than normal, more undeciviness, & over the past few days I've been feeling a bit yucky after I eat. HHmmmm.... I really, really hope the blood test is :bfp:
