Put your baby to sleeping in a cot?

Firstly im not sure how to put DD in the cot it has been cold here of late so she goes to bed in a wondersuit but since birth she has been wrapped and in a basinett.
I know you have to put them at the end on the cot and on their back etcc. but how do i cover her and what if she wriggles out of the covers i dont want her to freeze!!

I have always wrapped my babies, i have hudson in a singlet and either a bonds suit or a longsleeved/long legged suit. I wrap him in a muslin wrap and put him on his back to sleep. I always make sure his feet are as close as possible to the bottom of the cot and put a sheet and a blanket over him firmly tucked into the mattress if that makes sense??
I have always done it that way with all of my boys and never had a problem. Atm the house we are in is freezing cold in the winter and really hot in the summer so we have the ducted heating on low during the night just to take the edge off.

Have you tried a sleeping bag?? you could put her in a wondersuit and then in a sleeping bag and put a warm blanket over her tucked in firmly to the mattress of her cot.

sleeping bags are wonderful for babies that wiggle around the cot like my Little Miss does.
But if she is still used to being wrapped there is no reason you can't dress her for bed same as you usually do, wrap her and put her at the bottom of the cot, if it got a little cold you could tuck her in with a sheet or light blanket.
When i first moved Little Miss out of her snuggle bed (similar size to a bassinet) and into the cot i brought these little sleep positioner/support thingys by safe n sound (big W/kmart etc) so that she felt snug nestled between them and so that she couldn't roll everywhere....got rid of them once she started wiggling all over the cot and thats when we went to sleeping bags.
