Melbourne-seeking a trainee doula

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and wanting to have a trainee doula/possibly a student midwife support me.
It's my 21st birthday this week (yay :)
My EDD is 12/9/08, and I live in Ferntree Gully.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and your wise way of getting what you need around you for a beautiful birth. As I'm sure you've discovered, there are a wealth of willing student midwves (and possibly even trainee doulas) for you to choose from as experiencing the journey with pregnant women is part of our gaining our qualifications. In essence "midwife" means "with woman" and it is from this foundation that we are trained. I would live to offer to support you in your pregnancy, but I do not live in your area of Melbourne. If you are interested in a student midwife from Melbourne's northern suburbs I would love to hear from you, for home or hospital birth support. All the best!
