Private Health & IVF/FET

Hi Ladies,

We have private health with MBF, and in April our " assisted reproductive services" kicks in.

So my question is what do private health insurance actually pay for FET cycles?

I have looked on the website but cant find exactly what it covers..... does anyone claim their FETs through private health ?

Im to impatient to wait to call in the morning LOL.... thought u girls could help !

Hi Kachow,

My PMI paid towards the EPU as this was a hospital admission procedure and paid a small amount towards my Synarel Spray.

Apparently, they don't pay for FET as this is an outpatient procedure.

hi im with hcf at max. cover. and they dont pay for transfer, we have medicare rebate for part of it and if u go over the threshold u get 80% back, hcf also does some of the drugs, not all though, ure clinic should be able to tell u which.
HCF is good when u gotta go to get collections and all costs involved there ie hospital admission etc..
