I am sitting here and just realized the sunday is daylight savings .. which is going to be so hard for ds as we fly out to nz on sat so theres a time change and then they'll change the time again once he wakes up from his night sleep ... and dh doesnt believe in time changes per se... like i mentioned that braden would have to go to bed at 5 there (bed time here is 7) he said no he'll go to bed at 7 there...imagine how tired ds would be from the plane ride etc..hopefully he gets an arvo nap in so he gets to stay up till 9pm (or 7 pm there)

AC - Enjoy your trip!

Nanay - You too!

Hi All,

Just doing my weekly drop in again! Hope everyone had a nice Easter, and that you had a lovely bday QC. I bet it's nice to see your friend from London.

Anna - have a safe trip, although I guess you would be gone by now

Sabby I hope your dinner went well. I'm sure the hard work would have been worth it in the end.

AngelOne I hope you are enjoying your Kirby!! We have an older one, and to be honest, I've never used it to shampoo anything!! (I bought it 2nd hand though and only paid $400). But still, I dont even use it now as a normal vac as it's just too heavy to lug around. Hmm.....maybe I should put it on ebay and get rid of it :D Anyway, I hope your carpets came up lovely

CharlisMummy - Love the pig tails!! Phoebe has such a little amount of hair that I dont even need to brush it! My other DD didnt have her hair cut until she was nearly 4, so I guess Feebs is going the same way. Although she does have curls forming at the back of her head, so she may be the lucky one  to inherit my curly hair.

Well, as for me...I am going to whinge and complain :ecomcity: I have a cold, and of course the pharmacist said to take only panadol and steam inhalation!! Yeah like that helps. I would kill someone for a demazin right now! lol. This baby needs to get out of me.....I feel like I have been pg for 2 years!! I need my body back.....

Ok, rant over....:goodvibes:

Hi All,

I feel like I have been pg for 2 years!! I need my body back.....

Ok, rant over....:goodvibes:

hehehe - lucky you!! lol been there done that! so never happening again!!
not long now im sure you will survive

oh and i am loving my kirby - it hasnt actually cleaned the house we live in yet, but i did the other house and dh looked at the carpets today and said they look better than they did when we moved in!!! i would now be happy for my babies to play on that floor! (you should have seen the colour of water comming out of the carpet!) kirby then proceeded to burn me - not a good start to a relations ship i feel - hes jsut very lucky he did a good job on the carpets!! (the shaft i have discovered gets rather hot and if you accidently touch that thing while chanigng heads - it rather hot!! )

and guess what i did yesterday?? i kicked dhs heel (we were running away from the kids and my toes and his heel collided) and well apart from being in imense pain lastnight and not being able to walk, today i have a nice bruise, then to make matters worse, while i was waling out the door this morning i put weight on my toes and think i hurt it good again, and now its even more bruised!!! lol
i do think i may have a broken toe! - and it friggin hurts!!!!

ok does anyone know of any reliable kitchen cupboard locks??? to keep the kids out , i have some and well they are proving to be a problem - basically if someone gives a good tug the cupboard or draw opens! - not very helpfull!

Hi again, I try to remember personals, but its so hard with my silly memory.

Osmum, I saw the AV contest and voted of course lol.

Well I have 2 sickgirls today, just colds but its keeping Natalia up all night with a blocked nose. Poor things.

We went to the show on Friday, the girls loved it. Elora especially. All the free food samples in the fresh food dome. She thought it was great getting handed nuts, drinks, fruit, popcorn etc at every stall.
Natalia was cranky by the end of the day though, she was over being in the pram thats for sure.

On Sat we went to my pops bday dinner at their place ( which is where my mum lives too). It was his 88th bday :smiliedance:. Which is very exciting, as he was not ment to live past 60 after he had his kidney removed in the war. I love my nan and pop soo much.
Poor natalia did not have such a fun night though.
She climbed up on a chair and sat down, over balaced and went head first in to the cement. God it was horriable, she screamed, i screamed and cried for ages! She had a masive bump and grazed her nose so their was some blood from that.
Then 20 min later she bumped her head on the table and had another cry. Then later on, she fell on to mums knee and cut her lip with her teeth and there was even more blood. Poor thing, it was not her night!

We did have fun driving over the bridge and through the city during earth hour! the city look amazing with no lights on!

EandN- OMG! That's so horrible! Poor Natalia! Hope she is ok now...

angel_one - Sorry dont know any reliable safety gadget for kitchen cupboards.. I just use rubber bands and I tie it on one handle to the other and when chelsea opens it, the cupboard door just swings close back. I cant use any of the gadgets as the cupboard door handles I have are not the the hook style ones. Sorry I'm probably not making sense.

Kells - Hope you get better real soon. My workmate who is also pg is on antibiotics to get rid of her cold. I guess if you are not well then its not good for bubba either. But I remember doing the natural remedies when I got the flu when I was pg - eat lots of garlic!

CharlisMummy - I am constantly Fixing Chelsea's hair as well when we are out and about.. Looks cuter when her hair is up.

AnnaC and Nanay - enjoy your trips!

Well my family dinner turned out soo well! The food I cooked was so fab!! Everyone enjoyed it and I am so pleased that's over and done with.. for another 6 months anyway till its my turn again. O'mum - yes its a big family dinner and we used to have our own ethnic food but because we do it monthly we thought we change the food theme as such. So I did italian, some has done mexican, thai, chinese etc..

Have a nice day everyone!

oh and i am loving my kirby

LOL - Dont speak too soon! I did it before (first DS and DD) and swore I'd never do it again and look at me!! :p Yes, just call me stupid! I think I would be better off if I could live in the ignorance that having two close together is easy.....but I know the truth!! LOL...that's what scares me! No, I'll be fine. I will just yell a lot....or check myself into a mental health clinic.....

Glad to hear your Kirby is working well.

Sabby - your dinners sound like an excellent idea. How nice to do it monthly and keep in touch with the extended family like that.

EandN - Oh I hope Natalia is okay....and you too. How horrible. I bet she looks a bit battered and bruised atm.

Sorry...I cant remember any other personals. Hope everyone is well. I'm off to do the two great big baskets of ironing I have. I have DD1 home sick with a cold today....hmm...it's a miracle how these things get better by 10am!! I am being mean though and making her stay on the couch ALL day. :raspberry:

Poor Natalia, that sounds like a horrible night for her - at least her 3 bad things are over for now ;)

We did earth hour but I was annoyed to see most my neighbours with their lights on still (not just one light either) grrrrrrr

e and n - poor baby :crying:
bailey was a bit like that yesterday, he managed to run into the table, then the kitchen bench, then he slipped on his croc (all this in like 10mins!)

well i have 2 hot heads today - both boys have fevers?? not too high but hot enough to notice, so i'll just keep an eye on them....... drugged them up and sent them to bed! lol on a high note i might get quite a good sleep out of them today!

oh for the 3rd time since we moved i have rearranged the kids beds - small room, 2 cots a single bed - quite fun to try and fit right! but i think we have it now! just perfect - for a nother few weeks till the bunk bed arrives the i can actually unpack the kids bed room stuff! (you know all those annoying bits of ****! lol)

speaking of unpacking, poor jamie has been barbie doll less for 3 weeks and finally took things in to her own hands the other day, and actaully broke into her barbie draw (plastic draws) over the weekend! not bad hey! i did have it with the back facing out so the boys coulnt get into the little bits, untill i get a chance to sort it all out! well that plan didnt work, and now what was a slightly broken (discount shopping i was) draw is now a completely broken draw!

well im on a study roll so im off! almost caught up (i think im only a week behind now!

Osmum, Yes her 3 things are over. As soon as she bumped mums knee i said to her its ok now nothing else will happen tonight. Your 3 things are done with.

Kells, when is the bubba due now? I hope the weather is cooler for you and your big fat belly. being pregnant last summer and also pregnant is Darwin makes the pergnancy harder i think.

Angleone, I love the vinigar bath too. Except afterwards when the kids smell like someones fish and chips with vinigar! yuk lol

Sabby, great to see your dinner went well. Where are your family from?

EN - poor Natalia :( Hope all her bumps are ok now.

Sabby - Yum, I'm coming to your place for dinner!

I have the worst headache :( I feel like I've been axed in the face. I think its a sinus headache from my cold, its behind my eye sort of and it hurts to touch it. Probably shouldn't be staring at a computer screen . Does anyone have any remedies? Panadols not cutting it and I don't know what else I can do while BF?

We went to storytime this morning, by accident! We walked to the library for a play and so I could get some books and it was on so we joined in the craft bit at the end. We made a cut out puppy and stuck spots all over it:D We'll suprise DH with it for his toolbox at work

Vaporiser
Vicks, baby balsalm or any menthol rub
Saline nose spray
Eucalypt oil (on a tissue and sniff or on your pillow etc)
Spicy food (chilli, garlic or similiar).

O's Mum - What does a vinegar bath do? Obviously helps with temps  but how do you go about it??

EandN - I'm due in 33 days! (insert the old 'eek' smiley here lol). 3rd of May. Come tomorrow I'll be able to say 'next month'.

I have a feeling I'll go early though. I hope. He's due 2 days before DD1's bday. But I am having lots of Braxton Hicks and sharp shooting pelvic pain. Maybe that's just cos it's the fourth time my body has done this everything is weaker and feels like it cant hold on

I am sure I will lose all bladder control by the age of 35! :p

Firstly - thank you my dears for all the birthday greetings!! I much appreciated them!
I have had a lovely Birthday Festival! The party went well, I had a great time and proved I can stay up beyond 12 these days. Genevieve proved she can sleep through a party in its entireity!
We went out to dinner in Chinatown (again!!!) tonight and farewelled the first of our guests to leave. It was fun having our house full of people - well, not on an EandA scale, but more visitors than we've had before. I really liked having a China Reunion with three of us in my city for a change.
Genevieve had a really good time at swimming today, she was so happy and enjoying it all. I think it was the power nap beforehand that set her up for a good time!

oh and the fever bug seems to be gone, and instead the screaming toddler bug came to visit - horrid children! lol

so im trying to find studs in my laundry wall so i can hang my dryer - yeah now that is fun!!! dh went out and brought this stud finder, and well if it ever comes up with the same spot more than once i will happily screw the bracket in, however it aint happening, and dh has till sunday night before i go global on him - i sooooooooooo want the dryer in the bloody wall, i am so over not having walking room in my laundry! (KIRBY NEEDS A HOME THAT IS NOT IN FRONT OF THE LINEN CUPBOARD!!!!)

the old house is almost empty! tomorrow it will be locked up and the keys given back!!! yay!!!! and dh will have finally put the shelves up in the store room so i can put the dozen store room boxes away! (well no tthat many but enough to take up some room in the house)!!

On NO QC I did not wish you a happy birthday.
So
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel bad now that I had to be reminded! lol
Glad you had a great time, it all sounded like fun.

Charlismummy. Have you tried massaging your sinus. I do this a fare bit. Even better in a hot shower and everything gets steamed up. Give your cheek bones a rub in circles. It makes me feel much better.
and then all the things OSmum said ofcourse.

The vinigar bath is great for temps. Getting rid of bacteria and also a natural remidy for Thrush!
wow what a :barf:lovely word.
Vingar is magic liquid I think. Its $1 for 2 liters. Clean your toilets, floors, kiddies bath toys etc. And it can work as medication! Good stuff. I love it (expect the smell. But lucky it goes away after you use it to clean with. The smell does notcome our of your children as easliy though)

Hi,
How is everyones day going so far?
Well just thought that I would update abit, Sean is still going to the toilet, which is great. No pressure on him at all. But its his choice.
We were going through his baby album the other day and I said bubba Sean and he said bubba. On every page he would say it.
If I put DS1 to bed, Sean will run into their room with his bottle and tuck himself in and he actually goes to sleep. Wheres my little man gone?

So, anyone got any tips on getting rid of the bottles?

Have a great day all.

Wow toilet training and tucking himself into bed... i wish i could get a full nights sleep without Braden waking up once!!!

But that said.. he's been very good but last night he woke up at 130 and would not go back to sleep, at 330 DH tried and failed so I just gave in and have him sleep beside me ... and he slept through to 8 this morning so it was a bit of a sleep in for me

As for getting rid of bottles, i started giving him his nap time milk in a sippy straw cup and then when he got used to it i gave him his night time milk in the sippy cup about 15 minutes before bed ... he took to sippy cup so easily he was using straw since he was about 11 months old ...

Yeah Seans been using a sippy cup since before I stopped bf and that was at 9mths. Hes very fussy with what he has his milk in. It has to be a soft spouted sippy cup otherwise he won't drink it.
Yeah some nights Sean will wake but not too often. Last night he woke twice but his feet were cold. I was going to buy a couple of sleepsuits for him that way if he does kick the covers off he won't get cold.

Not feeling too good today... feel like I'm coming down with a cold. Sore throat, back neck is sore and feel run down.. :gloomy:

So cold in the morning nowadays! Had to turn the heater on at 5am so Chelsea wont get too cold. She only had a summer sleeping bag on. It's not cold enough at night to put her on a warmer sleeping bag...

angel_one - Goodluck finding the stud! Hope you don't put too much holes on the wall!

Nanay - Well done Braden for drinking his milk on a sippy cup. Wish Chelsea would drink more milk! She's only having 300ml a day if she is in the good mood.

Kells - Loosing bladder control - well I think I've lost mine and I'm only 30! LOL!!

Yeah some nights Sean will wake but not too often. Last night he woke twice but his feet were cold. I was going to buy a couple of sleepsuits for him that way if he does kick the covers off he won't get cold.

with dd we went cold turkey to a sippy cup, as she wouldnt drink cows milk in her bottle and would drink only formula in the bottle - she turned one we cam home and her bottles had been taken by the bottle fairy! - worked great!
for the boys, bailey has had sippy tops in the avent bottles since he was one, and thus we have had the 2 boys drinking from bottles (thats the illusion the boys had any way) i decided it was time for the boys to upgrade i was gonna get bailey a big boy cup and hayden a sippy cup - then it occured to me - as i was buying them, that this isnt going to work as bailey will jsut drink haydens sippy ! so i brought the boys a tommie tippie straw cup (as we need a leak proof bottle for car trips - other wise we get very wet children, carseats and the real car seats!) it seems to have worked great - bailey askes for more drinks form cups now (as its easier to drink than the straw - which hes still trying to work out needs to be down not up in the air to drink from!) and as for hayden i took the actual straw (bottom half of the straw valve thingy) and this way he can drink it like a bottle (see the illusion still works! lol, and i will slowly put the starw back in the bottle over the next few weeks.

however i have not managed to elminate the bottle at bed time, i have to remove the straw from baileys bottle so he can drink it lying down!
BUT - the big BUT - neither of them are demanding milk at bed time any more!! - and bailey no longer screams for milk 5 times in the first 15min in bed!
so no more tooth decay issues !!!! yay - i am succeeding!! lol
the next step is - total bed time "bottle" elimination! - as it is hot were we are i cannot bring my self to totally elimate the drinks at bed time, but i can put the straws back in so they have to sit up and have a drink then go back to sleep!

ok i finally (after forgetiing my last appt) got my last hep b shot and my last garvasil shot!!!!!! so now apart from the little peice of plastic inside me i can start trying for a baby!!!! - 18 days!!!! till that comes out! and then its ttc here i come!!!!

oh and hayden - with clothes and cloth nappy, weighed -..........9.92kg this morning!!

I thought Isla was going to tuck herself into bed last night.... when it is time for Ozzy to go to bed he grabs his pillow from in the lounge room give me a kiss goodnight then trudges up the hallway to his bed with Daddy. Last night Isla grabbed herself a pillow came and gave me a kiss and trudged up the hallway too - it wasn't until she reached her door she actually realised that would mean bed so she threw her pillow in the room and ran the other way back into the lounge room crying cause she didn't want to go to bed lmao!

When Sammy see's his bedtime bottle and dummy, he toddles up the hall to his room (bottle and dummy MUST be following close behind ... doesn't matter which parent delivers it ) and he bangs on the side of the cot. It's so cute .... he did that for his day nap today too.

But if he doesn't want to go to bed, you have to carry him.

Well ... I've popped! My tummy is huge now and I'm only 21 weeks ..... check it out (http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h40/nic71/belly%20shots/121_3308.jpg) ... I'm finishing up work this week, my OB highly recommended it (actually he kept saying "you're NOT working now are you!") ... so hopefully everything will settle down then and the rest of the pregnancy will be a breeze .... now I'm just :ecomcity:

Sabby ... I hope you feel better soon and don't come down with anything.

Nanay .... It's so hard when they don't want to go back to sleep ... I'm lucky Sammy normally goes straight back to sleep, but lately he's been loosing the dummy alot and he works himself up into a state cause I don't get a new one there quick enough.

Sorry for everyone I've missed .... brain just doesn't work these days. :o

I would love to be like you and be all 'out front' early on so people know you're pg. Unfortunately, I am one of the ones who chunks the weight on EVERYWHERE, and people are too embarrassed to ask me until after 30 weeks in case I just got fat and not pg!! LOL

Hope you are feeling well, and not getting too exhausted.

Oh Nic! Your tummy is gorgeous!!
I'm so happy that this pregnancy has gone well for you. So when is the due date again?

Sabby. Yes i ment your Nationality. I must sound like an idiot asking where your from! (down the road from my house obvioulsy, duh)

Daddy does the bed times in this house too. Well always for Elora and sometimes for Natalia, depends if Elora is going to bed at the same time.

You guys are so so lucky.. I do bed time as braden thinks when he sees dad its play time or heres the guy that will pick me up if i whinge a lot... but on the other hand he does help when i cant resettle ... only because its waking him up and he cant sleep with the crying going on so as soon as he comes in the room i leave them and get some sleep

Lucky me still gets asked when I am due :o It's quite embaressing really! On a good note though I keep getting asked if I am over 18 lmao!

lol got to love those ?? - sometimes you feel like turning round and smacking them across the back of the head!
I actually had a little old lady in the bed next to me when i was in hospital last - ask - so when are you due?? im like im not yet! - so now i know just how swolen my tummy was after the op! lol

nic i am soooooooooo jelous!!!!! i want a belly (that contians more than fat!) :crying::crying:

i am incrediablaly clucky atm , not quite sure whats going on there, but its there and i think dh is starting to worry about me, he gets these concerned looks when im talking???

and guess what i did this morning! i kicked my sore toe that was starting to feel better!!! - talk about bad luck! came walking out of the bathroom and got taken out on the door frame!!!

oh and i have to boast - 1 - dd has sucessfully let me do her hair every day for 3 days now!, i told her that if we do it morning and night then it wont get so knoty and need and hour of detangling!, so she agreed to sit and let me do it!!, and i have worked out the perfect bun!!, i think there was 1/2 a pack of bobby pins i it but my god it survived kindy (with the hat on and off all day) it then survived dancing, and was still in perfect nic come bed time, when sadly she made me take it out cause she couldnt lay on it! lol !!
2 - dearest bailey bob - has managed to finally climb out of the cot! yesterday i found him in his brothers cot ( right next to his, so he had climbed out and into haydens cot, - i think he was in search of croc - which im guessing hayden had stolen!) and this morning, as im getting up i can hear this child scremaing mum mum, and of course poor mummy thats been ready to strangle jamie all moring (in our room messign with stuff) is yelling out be quite im comming, only to find she has a hard time opening the kids door, as there is a 2 year old behind it! - yep he was out trying to excape the room! lol
3 - jamie-grace had parents day at dancing yesterday (not that i remembered till i got there!) but i did have the video cam with me!!, but omg shes good, dh was watching the video (which i will down load later ) and was saying man she takes this seriously! im like i know - and this is the little ballerina that was nagging me to do jazz (casue her friends are doing it! lol) and all i ever see is her skipping and tiptoeing and spinning around the house - um yeah kid you can do jazz! - NOT lol

ok i think thats it for now, really have to study, i want to spend this weekend unpacking (everything!) so i guess i should catch up on the study side of things , and eventually one day i will be able to follow my life schedual andfit in some sewing and scrapbooking!

oh and someone remind me to go back on all my posts to this group and print them all into a diary! lol im thinking i really need one so i dont bore you girls to death reading my ****!

oh and i am about 2 days off putting up gates in the kitchen - the locks have proven uselss - hayden is currently into them~!

Hahaha - the last time I was asked for i.d. I was 28 and turned around to the bouncer and said, as I pulled out my licence - "I'm older than you" to which he agreed.
I don't think I look forty, hell I don't even feel forty!
All is well here. Genevieve is asleep, she had a sad morning at the creche I think, but she was happy to get back home!
We are going out to dinner tonight with our houseguest - to the Summit!! I can't wait, it looks like it will be a perfect evening for the view - Jon is out from England so it will blow him away I know.
Things will be very quiet around here tomorrow night, when we are back to just the family in this house. I will have to invite more people to stay - its been such fun.
Oh, and here is what we look like now - from last week.

yes that is the case now!!

at the time we got him however i was told - he is common turtle species (as in there a a million of them all over the place - like the gooseponds are full of them! lol) so there is no need to get a licence for them, she (the wildlife officer i spoke too) also went as far as telling me how to go about getting one from the wild!! lol - not that i needed that i already had him!

on a high note the licence would enable me to get a mate for zac (a boy mate as im not breeding them!) as you can have up to 2 turtles on the one licence.
- hummm im thinking that prob wont happen! lol

Wow that woman should not have a job. How slack that is telling people how to catch them in the wild. Even with a licence you should nt be able to catch one. Only buy them.
Poor turtles.

Angelone. Cute video of Jamie. So cute. I want Elora to start some sort of dance lessons this year. Now i just have to go find one.

I believe if you can not buy an animal from a legit breeder or petshop then you should not be allowed the animal. I think its cruel to grab something from its home and keep it in a cage.

very true, however not everyone has that sort of common sense!! lol, thus they go a catching!

if i ever got a nother one it would be a pet shop one, but thats not gonna happen as i dotn want another one!
wanna know whats really bad - i had plans to "give" to our local (well mackays) wildlife sanctuary if the time ever came (as in when i die and the kids or dh dont want to take on the responsibility) well they recently shut down :crying: we really loved that place and use to take the kids (well the big 2) every few weeks now its gone!!

oh anyone wanna adopt a 1 year old??? free give away!! hes an adorable child, never throws tantrums, never hassles you on the computer (cd drive open and close, open and close, ect...) never disobeys, never finds you video camera (god knows how he got it off the high kitchen bench) and most of all will never ever just irritate the **** out of you!!! oh he will then of course come up with the big smile and snuggle with you making him love all over again!!

oh i have a2 year old that wont stay in his cot anymore and a 4 year old that drowned the bedroom floor in pee cause she wasnt fast enough last night!(at least it wasnt her bed - that mummy hasnt put the cover back on yet!)

but the 1 year old is the major give away of the day!!

Probably should take some off on to discs.......

I've had to go back to rocking charlotte to sleep for her day nap  I was BF her but it doesn't work anymore! So I have to stand in her room and rock her while she cuddles "my googgle" , which is her Dorothy dressing gown  Googgles is what she calles the wiggles :D

EandN you will be great as a Tupperware lady. I seem to have an addiction to the stuff at the moment so if you need a convert to talk it up at your parties let me know!
AZ bring on the get together!! My place or yours? I think our toddlers are too big and "ugly" for a trip to the city and a nice picnic on the rugs in the park!!
We bought a tent yesterday - completely on impulse!! It is up in our backyard which is pretty funny. We keep trying to think of places to go that are near Sydney - for a trial run at least!! Genevieve was so pleased to be walking around it in this morning, it was funny to watch her.

Yes Sydney mummies, a meet is needed soon I think.

The whole Tupperware thing is exciting for me, and it also scares the pants off me. I had my anouncement party booked but i nearly had a panic attck thinking about it, so i cancelled and went to quite the idea all together. But i do want to do it. Getting the first 4 parties booked is what scares me the most. I am ment to have at least 4 parties in the first 2 weeks to pay off my kit and stuff. But I don't know enough people :laughing:.
But I want to get out of the house> get some adult interaction, and get discounted tupperware. The extra $$ is just a big bonus for me.

i ordered my gates! hopefully they should be here early next week - god i hope soon!!

discovered kirby likes to eat rice bubbles for breakfast (this morning i walked out of my room and discovered pretty muchly a hole bowl of dry rice bubbles (thank god there was no milk!) all over the floor!! - i didnt even look at the broom and went straight fo the sucker! lol)

we went to a bbq at our new neighbours house - hows this for nice - we have been in this house for 4 weeks and already been invited to a bbq! - spent 2 years in the old house and not once were invited to one of there bbqs! (and if we ever have one ... got new bbq finally!)

and somthing to be really proud of me...... i just did 15mins on the treadmill (thats 1km, and 30cals! lol) with a sore broken toe and all!! lol)
im planing to get up early and do 15mins before the kids wake up (or get out of bed maybe! - or while they are eating breakfast -depending on when we all pull our selfs out of bed tomorrow!) then slowly work up to an hour a day during the week at lunch time whent eh kids go to bed) hopefully i can lose a little weight before i get pg again!

ok another proud moment for me - well 2 actually!

1 - (the best one) bailey told me he needed to ues the loo - in the shopping centre!!! - yep!! jamie said she needed to go so i said ok lets go asked bailey if he wanted to come along and he was like yep and ran for the loo, and actually used it!!!
he is also using it at every nappy change now!! (next step will be getting him to tell me!) on that note, last night when we are at a bbq, jamie came running to me saying bailey wanted to go to the loo, i said he will be right, 1/2 later as we were leaving..... he had a pressy in his nappy for us! - now if silly mummy had listened to her son, he would have done a poop in the loo!!! lol silly girl i am!

2- for the first time in 2 1/2 years (middlemount life) i have used my clothes line! yep i used it! *nappies* lol - hayden has a some sores on his butt and im thinking they are an infection (like the last one he had down there) so i went all out with this load of nappies and did the bicarb, vingar and sun light trick on them, if they have any bugs left in them they are damm strong bugs!!!

did another 10 mins on the treasd mill , i will do some more tonight

and i have jsut discovered its almsot 5pm and i dont know whats for dinner! lol

well off to do that!

I'm not only rocking charli with her 'google', I've now got her 'woof woof' (pink puppy) to juggle as well! Oh and today she needed her Dora beach towel aswell   I nearly tipped over trying to hold everything!

lol

haydne thankfully only has his blankie!

bailey - well he has his croc, and has been known to go to bed with about 5-6 metal die cast trains (thats when he was willin to sleep with out asking for more!)

jamie - has only her blankie bear - sadly its 4 years and she still wont give him up! and the other day mummy discovered blankie bear is showing his age!
im trying to talk her into a new "blankie" but instead of it being a blankie, makeing it a stuffed toy - that mummy will make!! (might work) i also said to her that we can clean blankie and hang him in a photo frame above her bed - im still waiting for the response! lol

Last night my Grandfather passed away. It has been a long time coming as he had asbestos lung cancer - it was sad to see him in so much pain. He wanted to die at home and he got his wish. Two days ago he opened his eyes for the first time in a week and looked at everyone in the room and told them how much he loved them and then he shut his eyes and became completely unresponsive, he couldn't drink, speak etc the only way they knew he was in pain was his groaning. The last few day you couldn't even touch his hand or hair as it was too painful for him.

But last night around 9pm he passed away and thankfully he is now no longer in pain. Everyone said goodbye to him and sat around his bed last night playing Irish music (he was in love with Ireland) and probably still are playing the music (I had to go home) . It's sad that his passing was what had to bring such a fueding family together (granted some still want to throttle the other siblings - they are remaining very civil to each other which is good). My Grandmother is feeling lost which is understandable. She was his sole carer for the last 2 years and he was her life long partner.

He was a great man and he will be missed. He was always out to help everyone else first then himself second. He did great things for his Community environmentally and just as a person. He was honoured a bike/walk way in his name last year for all his hard work he put into planting vegetation on what was a dying river bank.

In his retirement community he was the person everyone called on if they wanted something done. Whether that be just to open a jar lid or to help them with their garden - he was always willing to help no matter how ill he was.

Goodbye to a great man.

:hugs: for you OM! (as i have already done so!)

ok im sorry but i have to vent!

last week dh took a day off work to study - as he is studying too, now i left him alone, i took care of the kids as i would normally if he was at work - no worries
today - dh is home once again - as he has to work tonight and he will again be home tomorrow, so i have said good! i have an assignemnt due on monday and i would like to spend these next to days getting stuck into it, he was ok with this.
so he has been keeping the kids occupied for the morning, jamie went to a friends, i took baiely to the hair dresser (and went and did some research) and hayden played at home then went to bed, all good!
they all woke up - so far I have had to get them out of bed - as suddenly dh had washing to hang out, and the kids were screaming. he then said ok i will ttake them outside, great they have been out there since 2 and having a ball, - dh's idea lets get the sprinkler out (hes trying to grow grass i think??) i was like ok go for it, just leave me alone!
20 mins ago..... " babe the kids are ready to come in , come and get them!" - ummmm, what who wet them?, whos looking after them??? "FOR CHRISTS SAKE THERE IS A PILE OF TOWELS STARING YOU IN THE FACE!!!!!" "just come and help me dress them" grrrrr "ok" i got the towels i got the nappies ready, i got dry clothes, i put the kid on the loo, then conviently dh had to move the sprinkler, and wander round the yard for 10 mins, at which time bailey had finally got off the loo and was wandering round naked and dh on the couch yells ..." go and get dressed" (im back in the office by now try to do this assignment!!!!) grrrrrr :banghead::banghead: i have to go and dress the kid!! (big fight later) im ****ed and the next time he tries to study im gonna give him what for! lol

i think this is part of an argument we had a few days ago (over the weekend) when he made such a big deal about him haivng to study and me haivng to keep the kids out of his hair, "pretend im not here " - right mate if the kids see you they know you are home!!! duh!! but i said to him, well im studying too and some times i need help too, i am behind just as you are and thus need to catch up as well!, (he then grumbled soemthing under his breath) and i went off again (as i hate the friggin mumbling!)
the way the convo came off to me was: "Im the man of the house, i have to study so we can have money to live!" - my side as he seems to forget when discussing how much his income will drop when/ if we ever leave the mines - "um yeah well im studying to get a ****ing job to, you ****head!, so i can put money into this family too!!" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

is it normal to feel like hitting him over the head with a frypan (a nice cast iron one mes thinks!)
look for the news headings girls "middlemount woman beats husband to death, for being an inconciderate **** head!"

now please tell me if im being unreasonable? casue im starting to think im losing the plot!

soo hanging out for a night alone with out him!

Oh, angel one hang in there!! Men are such dags, you know how it is with the old ManCold, well it seems your dh has ManStudy - so much harder than what we mere mortal women have to do!
I am so glad my Dh got his study over and done with before we got married - and he went all the way to the PhD, that was a marathon if I ever I read one!!
Book yourself up a night out my dear, it sounds like you need some respite care!

Quiet times here eh?
Hope all is well with all of you! Genevieve has been fine, she seems to be needing two sleeps a day again every day at the moment, I think its because 5am is far too early for a little hen to be facing the day - she's been back in bed for a couple of hours by 8am this week! Then again for a couple of hours in the afternoon, so I'm happy to say the least!
Oscar's Mum, I hope this week isn't too straining - I'm thinking of you and your family.

Oscar's Mum, I hope this week isn't too straining - I'm thinking of you and your family.

We ran around yesterday looking for a native fig tree for my grandmother (she wanted to dedicate a native fig to my grandfather). You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a native fig tree!!! 20 nurseries later we finally got a bonsai bayan fig tree - I really didn't want a bonsai (as they are ridiculously priced and I don't want to keep it as a bonsai so thankfully if it is transferred to a bigger pot it will get bigger (and for those that live in Brissie you would probably have seen the big fig trees in New Farm Park - hopefully one day the little bonsai one I got will become that size ;)

Today I organised all the poetry that will be read at the funeral (we managed to get hold of a beautiful poem my grandfather wrote about his friend 40 or so years ago - I will have to post it sometime soon as it was really sweet and is about his best friend who was an aboriginal and how he wasn't like the others in his town and that one day he went on a muster and didn't come back (he was 36 at the time, so was my Grandfather, so it was written a long long time ago).

I am sewing like mad tonight making a banner type thing I guess you would call it. It isn't for displaying though, it will be put into his coffin. I found a gorgeous celtic cross so am in the process of appliquing the design onto some silk (just had to take a break to feed Isla).

Osmum. As I have said before I am so sorry to hear about your grandad. I'm glad he is at peace now and pain free after hearing what he was going through last week.

This next part is long

Well yesterday was not the funnest of days.
I went to play group just before 10am and came home at just after 12. I walked inside with Natalia and Elora and noticed the tv cabnet was open, just thought maybe the girls opened it before we left.
So i went to put Natalia in her cot as it was her nap time. I noticed the lanudry door wide open. I thought to myself, ****, i went out with the door open. I put Natalia in bed and then thought to myself again, **** i didn't do laundry today.
I ran down to find a phone to ring DH and see if he had been home when i saw draws pulled out all over the floor , and stuff all out of the cupboards in our bedroom. I ran back and got Natalia out of her room and grabed the phone and Elora and ran from the house. I rang DH too see if he had been home and messed up the room. I was hoping he had been home and searched through the room in a real rush for something and made the mess.
But he had not been home. So i realised we had been broken in too.
He left work, and i needed to call the police but I didnt know the number. I eventually got the lady over the roads help.

I'm bawling my eyes out thinking of what they probably took from my bedroom, Including some unreplacable jewlery and things.
When the police did get there, they asked me to show them through the house. I showed them the bedroom, and we saw they climbed in through our bedroom window.
Our bedroom window is at the frnt of the house, in plain view of the street and neighbours.
We walked down to the laundry and saw the laundry door was shut, and the spare room door was open. I know for sure the spare room door was shut, as i made a note not to open it incase they were still here.
And lucky I did not open it. As they were there.

In the end we worked out that me and the girls interupted them coming home so they only got a couple of things, they did not touch the jewerly, or even get a DVD. Theyd id take my camera though and our video camera and a few other things.
I'm mainly sad about the camera, because it had a fw hours of footage of the girls on there.

I feel violated, that people were in my house, in my room with out my permission.
We have had every lock in the house changed, just incase.

I have not been able to sleep though, knowing that I put Natalia to bed in the room next to where they were hiding. And have not been able to be home alone yet. I spent the day at a friends house all day and am planning on doing it each day for awhile. I'm scared of being here.

wholey **** EandN!!!! :hugs: that would have freaked the **** out of me!

do they have any idea who it was?? (i know a long shot but you never know!)

it makes me a little weary now, i have just realised i have had the video cam and the digi cam sitting on my kitchen bench - not to mention the laptop! in clear view of our front windows, and our kitchen window (still missing curtians, getting there!!) i think i shall be doing a clean up when i get up next!

well i had to do a trip to the doc with hayden today .... $92 dollars later..... hes got that infection down there again!!, doc took one look and said yep same antiboitics as last time! great!

i just cant seem to work out why he keeps getting it?? i know it starts as nappy rash (from the sweet old sposies when we moved) and just doesnt go away, then becomes rather gross! like little craters on his butt, i was all good with it untill they started showing up on his actual boy bits (as it was last time) this morings change got me on the phone asap lol

i keep thinking its the way i deal with the nappies, but i dont think i could do anything else to these nappies to rid them of bugs - between the hot water, the vinagar and now the sunlight im sure everyliving organisim on or near that nappy is dead!
arggh being a mum is sooo frustrating!

but hey on a high note - dh and i didnt have any fights today!!, he actaully looked after the kids (when he eventually got out of bed!, (he seems to thing he needed more sleep then me!! lol, hey i know he got home at 6am but i didnt go to bed till 3!so i only got 3 hrs- he got 4! lol sooooo unfair!)

i have a goal for tomorrow - start and finish writing my essay! if i can have it done then i am free to sort toys (i have like 8 plastic storage boxes of toys (not including stuffed toys) that need to be culled and sorted into 4 boxes! ) lol - in theory it sounds easy!, but alot of it is baby baby toys that can be put away in the store room till the next kid comes. i told dh that the kids have one cupboard to contain their toys, and anything that dont fit - goes! (oh did i mention they have to share that cupboard with the board games!! ? lol and it currently has all the kids books in it too, but im thinking thay may have to come out and find a new home (a shelf on the wall would be nice)

i also have to have a rather clean house (which is usually not a problem, when the house is sorted! lol) by monday as we have an inspection which is funny as we havnet even been in the house for a month yet! lol (ok maybe just!)

so basically everything is on hold till this assignment is done!

EandN - you poor honey, I know what its like to come home to a burgled house, and to one where there is still an intruder in the place. I grew up in an exclusive location that was heaven to thieves - go figure. Doesn't make you feel any better though. I'm glad to hear you've changed the locks, and that they didn't get your jewellry. Thats what my Mum is always saddest about, she always tells me to wear all of mine. I hope you start feeling like you're home again soon - don't let them get to you, you're too strong for that, I know. Just remember Triple 0 in an emergency, and it is an emergency when you think there is an intruder around.
Oscar's mum - sounds like you've had your work cut out for you, but its also sounds like you've got it under control. I hope someone gets to appreciated your handiwork before it goes into the coffin. Are you reading at the funeral? Its not an easy thing to do.

my gates arrived, my gates arrived!!!!!! (oh the things that get us excited these days! - had the same discussion with a friend over vacuum the other day??? lol)

they are sooooo cool!, and other than having a deadly box, which attacked me upon opening (stupid paper cut) they look great, and i had jamie help me fully extend one to see if it would fit the biggest gap we have to cover and it will!!! yay!!

and to make things even better - i jsut read how to installl it (as when i ordered it it looked like a lot of holes in the wall) and it is sooooo easy, maximim of 4 holes in each side (im gonna decrease that if i can) and if it wasnt for the assignment i would be able to put them up my self (that and i feel that its about time i made dh feel like the man of the house and do something - and with saying that guess what is still on the floor in my laundry?? yep the dryer! lol - but he did buy some screws for it!)

anyway i must be off, i have struck up a deal with my kids (sounds funny hey!) i told them i have this assignment to do and i would like to finish it today, i said if you want to go to playgroup tomorrow then you need to let me do it, and play nicely, and behave ect..... - so far so good!

This is going to be really odd my saying this but go to the chemist and get yourself some sleeping tablets and try and get a bit of rest.

That would have been terrifying for you having been home whilst they were in your house still! Maybe you could organise a few of your friends to come over and help you clean everything up and then burn is it clary sage?? (I don't think it is clary sage, I think that's the stuff you take to bring on labour lol or maybe it is, I am confused sorry) - or whatever it is called that helps dispell bad energy.

How would farex go in the bottle at his age?

I wouldn't do it. If you are going to give him farex with milk I would make up smoothies and give it to him in the smoothies (not via a bottle though, probably in a straw cup of a sippy cup).

anything with milk in it has to be soft spouted. very fussy about his milk. But I have caught him drinking milk out of a pop top. He does drink poppers and flavoured milk out of a normal bottle. (flavoured drinks)

Don't worry about giving him just plain flavoured milk just now and just give him some toddler formula with a banana mixed in bit of honey and farex (or wheat germ) and voila he gets plenty of nutrients from the milk and the banana!

Thanks for the sympathy ladies and advice.
Osmum, i was just thinking today about buying a sage thingy sticky thingy thingo and do the house.
I will not buy a sleeping pill though. A few years ago when i was suffering from depression, i got a script for sleeping pills. I ended up not being about to sleep with out them , and then when the depresion got worse I tried to kill myself with them lol (wasnt funny then). So i really hate sleeping pills lol.

Well today again I got dressed and headed off to a friends house for the day. After lunch we came home from the shops and went past myhouse to check the mail. And I saw the people from the 2 houses over the road in the drive way with 2 men.
Well it turns out that the guys came back and tried to break in to the house 2 houses away from me. Aparently they tried the other day but could not get in so they got in to my house insted.
Lukcy today 2 of my neighbours were standing in the drive way talking and they head tapping. The guy over the road looked over the fence and saw the young guys trying to break in to the window. So he jumped the fence and ran off after them, Unfortunatly he could not catch them after running about 1km after them. But the poilce were there and hopefully they can get a print of the screw driver left in the window.
Ican not believe they came back! I'm so glad i was not home. Im scared enough.

I'm also glad that the guy over the road looks pretty tough and hopefully he scared them off. THis guy has tatoos on his head and looks ruffer than he is.

quitecontrary - Well done G for being able to self settle!

Angel_one - Well done for getting your assignment done!

Well Chelsea's 3 molar is giving her so much pain.. I feel so sorry for her. She keeps getting a fever in the afternoon. Brauer teething relief is not strong enough for the pain. She keeps waking up at night upset during her light sleeps, she would moan and I could tell she's in pain. So I've been giving her nurofen 4 nights in a row. I hate giving her nurofen but the only way to sooth her pain and only way she sleep through, otherwise she keeps waking up in pain.. my poor little pumpkin - bloody molars!!

Well I'm home today, just me andthe girls. Well for now.
I'm ok, I keep peering out the windows looking like a weirdo. I'm all closed in the house, it feels weird not to have windows and blinds open. But i feel safer.
I will feel safer if we get secuirty screens. But it seems to be a long process of email, letters and phone calls to see if the owners will pay for them.

I can hear dogs barking now, I hope its my friend riding her bike over and making them bark. Not people wondering the streets.

My poor dog too, I wont let her outside for long. Only enough time to do her business and then she has to come back in. She like coming inside sometimes, but likes subaking too.
I think the people kicked her when they broke in. She was scared and shaking and would not go near any men. My poor hairy baby :(.

Sorry my posts are so long!

On baby news, Natalia has had her 7th tooth cut through! woo hoo. I was starting to think she would look like cabbage patch doll for ever lol

EandN - hope things are going okay at home today. Ah, yes, the doorbell ringing of the potential thief - I remember that one. Open your curtains and sing as loud as you like, when you're ready!!
Angel one - pleased to hear your essay is finished! By the way I'm actually glad I don't have a daughter in her twenties - a 21 year old fairy god daughter is strange enough! And she wanted me to be her sister when she was little!
Genevieve was happy when I collected her from the creche today, she was sitting up at the table playing with playdough - I was so pleased to see her without a sad face. She is asleep now, thats the awful thing about taking her out to the gym, she misses her morning sleep. I have to say we were very pleased this morning when the darling slept til 6.30, so much better than 5am!

Hi Everyone

I have been dropping in to read your posts but whenever I go to reply some drama happens in the playroom and I have to go :crying:

O's Mum - Hope you are coping ok. I have been thinking of you and your family. Your grandpa sounds like a lovely man. :hugs:

EandN - How horrible for you! My gosh, I couldn't even imagine how that must have felt. That is my worst fear, coming home to someone in the house. I dont blame you for feeling violated. Hope that you are starting to build up your confidence for staying home again. xx

Right..well, as predicted, drama has occured. Although not in the playroom. Phoebe has decided to come in here and play with the buttons so I have to go. :hair:

Back later for more personals!

Ok, back again...

AngelOne - Good on you for finishing your essay! :yelclap: You must be Superwoman, studying and having three small kids! I dont know how you do it!

QC - Good to hear G is resettling well. :) Hope you dont have to mess it up by going O/S too soon.

NS - Well done on getting rid of the bottle! I hope it lasts for you.

Sorry if I've missed anyone.

Quick update on me - Still pg! We got our capsule fitted today so it is kind of 'real' now. It is definitely making it harder for the kids to get in and out of the car, that's for sure! Tomorrow I will be 37 weeks, so I guess I can be 'any day' now, as they say, although it doesnt feel ready yet. I still havent packed my bag for hosp, so hope it doesnt come too soon!! :p

Well, I can hear the pitter patter of tiny feet up the hallway, which means Miss Trouble is on her way, so best rush off again!

Talk soon and hope you are all well.

my dryers on the wall!!! - yep he finally decided he loved me enought to put it up - either that or he got sick of me complaining! lol

and i put the gates up in the kitchen - ohhh me i soooooo love them - apart from the noisy clicking sound, but thats good cause i have already casue dd breaking in (click click click - "JAMIE" then you hear the gate retract fully and the 4 year old robber running fro her life! lol) i will take some pics later, i have to clean the house first (inspection tomorrow)

oh and as for this inspection - OMG they sent out a letter with a detailed list of what had to be clean, (walls, skirting borads claen and dusted - ok i can deal with that and the olther gentral cleaning - but - i cannot handle the " make sure everything is up off the floor, alls shoes and toys are to be picked up ect... i laughed - told dh i am unable to do that, as she will be round between 8-11am , and i have 3 kids home well im not goinng go running around picking up all the toys as she drives up the drive way!! hello be realistic you dumb ****s!!

the house will be clean - clutter will be where i want it and shoes and toys if need be will be where every thay happen to land as a child drops them and runs to somehting new !!
i should make a sign for the front door - please excuse the mess - i have children!! (maybe they will get the point!)

ok so has anyone ever foud them not liking childless people since they became parents!!???? (dont get me wrong i still like them but dont - if that makes sense) my sister is one of them, her fella doesnt like mess, and asap when she rocks up she picks up all the kids toys - i laugh and ask y? she says - cause hes comming and dont like the mess - lol before he has even been her 2 mins the floor is full of toys!! duh!!! (and its not mess, it organized caois! lol - like my office! - i clean and cant find a thing, i keep it messy and im cool!)

any way im now rambling

Woops, I don't think I can call myself a non-drinker anymore.
We had a bbq/party last night and I had a few too many drinks I think. Not too much, but enough to be classed as "drunk by everyone.

It was a good night though, besides be being "drun" before dinner was even served. I also forgot I had 2 big potato bakes in the oven.
Lucky I had a guy standing at the oven and going "mmm it smells so good", And i was thinking boy he must be drunk, smelling my oven like that! lol. Then clicked. It was a bit burnt around the egdes, but no one minded. Everyone had seconds of it.

Today we are just hanging out, tidying up. (well Dh and I are trying, Natalia and Elora think it is a silly idea and get everything out again lol)

EandN - I have to laugh about you and the potato bake and the guy sniffing your oven, oh lord! It is fun to forget how many drinks you've had for a change!! Sounds like the party was a hoot, you must be feeling a bit more "at home" again!
We have had a busy weekend. Decided to check out a local park yesterday that I hadn't been to for twenty years - so that was fun even with a 15month old with suicidal tendencies it seems - hills, river, cliffs, that kind of thing!
Today we went out to the Kurnell National Park for a Discovery Walk with an aboriginal ranger - it was really interesting. Genevieve lasted a long time in the baby back carrier - then she had to run around but Dh was on toddler patrol so I still got to participate. We were going to have a picnic but the rain tumbled down while we were in the Discovery Centre so we all headed back to my parents and had the picnic there. We being my sisters, their husband and children and my parents!! G had a great time playing with her cousins of course.

We went to the Sydney Aquarium today - it was great!! Loved the experience!! Hayden and Jake's new word is 'fish' !!

How funny QC - we came out of the aquarium to find that it was absolutely bucketing down!! Had no idea it would rain today! So, it was a mad run across the Darling Harbour pyrmont bridge, all the way to star city casino where we had parked!! We were absolutely drenched!! Changed baby and AJ clothes (I always bring spares just in case) they fell asleep in the car on the way home and was told by our neighbours, umm, what rain?? didn't have any here LOL...

The pram is in the house still drying off LOL... We don't have a rain cover for the pram (why don't all prams have one as standard anyway?? And a sunshade would be handy too) ...

Alas, 3 sleepy boys - I'm heading off to bed too... Have a great week

Well had to go to Chelsea 4 times last night - she has the throat infection. She's on amoxilin (again!). My poor baby. But when I went to her, I just had to look for her dummy, put it in her mouth and fix her blanket and she went back to sleep no prob...

But I'm really worried, as I said before her 3 molars are coming through and is causing her so much grief. But on the weekend I noticed all her gums even where the front teeth have come fully through were all red and very inflamed. Its so sensitive I cant brush her teeth as her gums would just bleed. The dr said its all because of her throat infection. But my work mate said it could be foot & mouth disease as well. ???? Help please !!!

Hi Sabby,

sabby - google foot and mouth - i dont know much about it (and im a little bit cleaned out to even try and think) but google it (yes i google the simplist things - that under norm circm i would remember but cant when i need it! lol)

well just had the inspection - argh could that woman have anymore of a rod up her bum
if anyone has seen the perfect housewife show on austar (discovery health i think) with the "perfect house wife" teaching others then going to there "newly" cleaned homes and checking them over - well this chick was just shy of the white glove test!!! looking fro cob webs, looking for the tinyest speck of dirt ont he floor, i even think she was checking for soap scum in the shower! lol, but of course i won!! (baring the grass the needs whippersnipping (but thats dhs dept! lol) ) honestly - its not immpossible, but for gods sake if i didnt have dhs full support over the weekend it wouldnt have happend (we are still trying to unpack so the place is a mess!) well was!
she is sooooo lucky she didnt comment on the toys on the floor (as the letter said have everything up off the floor!) cause i would have blown up in her face!

oh and lucky me - i had 2 dirty nappies sitting in the bathroom sink (as just took them off the boys) and thankfully i remembered (yes it has been know to hear a scream from the bathroom as jamie walks in to wash her hands and finds a dirty nappy in her sink!) to deal with them lol !! Hi Guys,

Just dropping in quickly, and will come back later when the kids are in bed to read everybody's updates, but I just wanted to get some ideas on what everyone is feeding their bubs atm?

Phoebe's poos are still VERY runny. I thought it was the teeth thing, as she's had about 8 come in in the last 3 months, but I'm not so sure. I think I may feed her too much 'sloppy' food.

By this, I mean, she chews on everything well, and eats what we eat for tea, but during the day she will have weetbix, yoghurt, custards, banana's, watermelon, grapes etc. and I'm not sure if it's too much dairy/fibre that is making her so runny!!

Sorry...gross topic.....:barf: But I am getting really sick of stubborn poo to squirt off the nappies and would love to have those 'roll off' ones!!:p

So...any ideas would be great. Thanks in advance. I will be back later to read everyones posts of the last few days. Hope everyone is well. xx

Isla eats very similiar foods (except for the dairy). As long as it's a nice balanced diet (which it sounds like it is) I really wouldn't be worried that she still has sloppy poo. Isla has really sloppy poo too (and some days even has breastfed poo still - when she has been a boobie monster!

Speaking of boobie monsters..... Isla fed that much over the weekend I went up a whole cup size:laughing:

Hi!

Kells - On a normal day charlotte has weetbix for breaky and normally steals some of my toast , grapes and yoghurt bikkies for snack, multigrain vegemite sandwiches (2) for lunch and a cheesy pop, and then dinner is whatever we have or if its too spicy she'll have rissoles with roast potatoes and vegies. And about 3 breastfeeds, water and then cows milk before bed.

Her poo's are a mix of wet and solid :D

A bird flew into our kitchen window today and scared the cr*p out of charli!! Her eyes went so wide and she jumped into my lap and stayed there for about half an hour whimpering and saying 'bird' 'bird', lol. The bird was ok, it just flew away! Now she keeps pointing to the window and saying bird.

kells - hayden eats, and eats and eats and eats what ever he can get his hands on!
vegiemite sandwhiches, weetbix, apple, banana, yogurt, biscuits (sooooo bad!) a plain slice of bread or 15 (seriously my kids can go thru a loaf of plain bread a day and thats the big slice stuff, that and 3ltr bottle of milk) and for dinner he will eat what we eat.

ok i have figured it out! bailey has thrush - once again, and well i had a good think about it and realised the few days before were lots of bread days and high sugar days - (to many biscuits naughty boy) and well i decreased these somewhat a lot, along with the vingar spritz he gets at change time, and started looking better - then....... well yesterday - as the kids were in dhs care (i was too busy cleaning) i noticed it had flared back up again at the bed time change, thought wtf? put him to bed then discovered - a full packet of biscuits that had once been (that morning) were like gone bar 6! (it was a family assort pack with lots of cookies!!) i went off at dh and he was like well you left them there!! (on the bench open) im like "like hell i did, they were sealed last nigth!"
so back to the resrticted diet!
worked well today i decided i would make them a lucnch box full of food - just as they would have at daycare/kindy - sent jamies with her to kindy... and fed the boys at meal times ONLY! - i only had 3 constant asks for biccies, in which i replied - no im sorry bailey, you cant have any cause it makes your wee wee hurt, he has a think and goes back to playing! (amazing!)
i had a wonderfull day - even with me runnig roud like a chook with its head off cleaning ect... i was able to wander into my office and get 2 nappies snapped ready for sewing!, get the boys to bed and get them out the door to pick jamie up with out having a screaming match (form all of us) lol

then tonight came -....... omg it takes about 10 attempts - going back and forth to ge thte kids to settle and stay in bed ! dh is thinking of locking the door - for the first hour after they are put to bed, that way they cannot come out of the room and have to deal with it them selves!
im still deciding if i can lock my children in their room or not - i can see a postivie use for it - when timeouts are required, not haivng to hold the door shut while she tries to get out!

oh well i think im up fo rthe next back to sleep growl see ya

Angel one sounds like the bedtime is a nightmare at the moment. Close that door and keep it shut! My sis used to put a towel over the kids door and jam it shut - and that kept her son in for quite a while. He was good at moving furniture from a young age! Here the door handles are so high (got to love a house built in 1926) that G won't be able to reach then til she is about 6, without moving furniture anyway!
This afternoon G decided to give herself a bit of sleep deprivation torture which was dull. To make up for it we went and picked up Dh from work and had dinner in Chinatown - so I have a baby who is happily asleep right now, and dh and I have contented tums!
As for the poo thing I think some kids are always a bit on the runny side - my nephew for instance was for years. No real cause. Nice topic huh?

Well we fly out to Gold Coast in few hours - going to be away from my Chelsea and DH for 2 nights!!! :crying: I'm going to miss them sooo sooo much!

Going to GC for work function. We have 2 gala night dinners then fun activity 2mrw which I think we'll be going to Sea World. I think there's about 300 of us. Palazzo Versace fully booked out by our company and some of us have to stay at the hotel across the road - Sheraton Mirage (another 5 star). I'm excited as it'll be the first time I can do things on my own but same time also sad as I'm going to enjoy myself without my family. I feel guilty....

sabby have fun!!, i know how you feel, our first trip away (also a work one) from jamie was hard! but we did survive and had fun!

and speaking of abandoning children - this weekend got complicted yesterday! we have my sisters 18th birthday on friday night and my doc appoinment at the hospital as well, so we had plans to go into town on friday morn, lose the kids friday night and go clubbing (pretend to be childless again! lol) well mil - the planned baby sitter of the boys will be here in middlemount for work! so now im trying to line up people to look after the boys on friday as mil wont finish work till about 5! and we have to be in town at 11am!
thankfully i have had one lovely friend with a 2 year old boy, offer to take baiely - yay!! (hes the hard one to get rid off!) so now i need to ask aother friend to take hayden (which shouldnt be too hard as hes sooo cute and easy going! lol) then we are set

we will take jamie to town with us as we have promised a sleep over with her cousin (and god forbid we change that!) we will go out, wake up, (stay at mils house - as she will be in ours! lol) go do the monthly grocery shop - with only one child! and then headd home, hoping to be home by early afternoon saturday - with still 2 more sleeps with grandma !! (the kids will love that!)

well now im off to do a few practice medication calculation tests (i have to get 100% on the real one i 2 weeks!! - however really looking at them - well they aint that hard - it just a matter of using the maths side of my brain! lol)

Sabby - You go and enjoy yourself!! Lucky thing.

EandN - It's scary when things like that happen - you do realise you are getting old! My step-neice (been in the family since she was two though) has two kids (also a teen mum) but it makes me feel incredibly old thinking I am a 'great' aunty ;) Not as bad as my SIL who was a grandma at 34!!

QC - I admire the way you and your DH do lots of 'activities' and dinners etc. Good on you! I'm too scared to venture out with my kids to dinner :o I think the key is to do what you're doing and start it young so they know how to behave. We didnt take our first two out hardly at all and then when we started they were little ferals!! Better now though, although Phoebe is the one who isn't good at sitting still. Oh well, by the time I'm 45 I may be able to have a life again. (If I stop getting pregnant all the time )

Thanks also to you all for the food tips. I think I must just have a 'runny' baby. She is also a baby that likes to poo in her minky itty bitty boo nappy!!!!! Without a doubt, everytime it's on, poop! Must feel nice and fluffy on her butt  It's almost enough for me to hit the sposy's though.....

Anyway, enough blah blah from me for now. Nesting has kicked in and I am in the process of cleaning the oven and also the outdoor furniture.

Kells when I saw your name up in the "last to post" I thought, thats it, she's having the baby!!
I don't imagine we'd be venturing out to dinner too much if we had 4 kids. Rest assured when we're in Chinatown its not a fancy place at all and the food comes real quick! I think we've done our last three course meal out with Genevieve in tow - now she's just a little too fidgetty. I definitely don't think we'd consider taking her to a fancy place again without the devoted grandparents in attendance.
Can you tell its cold in Sydney today and I have a sleepy baby? I don't even want to venture into the garden. At least its windy and the clothes are drying on the line.

Isla is still the boob addict (nothing new there) - I do wonder at what age she will wean though (I definately want to feed until minimum of 2) but have no idea how long after that. Oscar still occasionally breastfeeds and he is 3 so who knows how long she will go for..... perhaps I will be one of those mothers that everyone links from youtube that is breastfeeding their 8 year old:laughing: just kidding ;)

I made a tuna bake for dinner tonight and Isla refused to touch it the little bugger especially as it wall all made from scratch using dairy free. Nevermind as Ozzy loves tuna bake (it was the first time Isla had tried it).

Tomorrow I am starting a detox (I feel so tired and sluggish) so am doing a 10 day detox - I am quite looking forward to it (I used to thrive on being able to detox - but detoxing is easier said than done - especially whilst breastfeeding).

Well now I have bored everyone to high hell I shall log off the computer for the night I think.

oh banana - softens poop! thats for sure! the kids are not alowed any more than 1 a day! (once they are out of nappies i dont care! lol)

lots of dairy or iron - that hardens them up! (yes poops have been rather nice in our house hold since mummy limited milk to 2 bottles a day not4-5 at bed time!)

oh i forgot to mention - i have managed to ditch all 3 kids for friday nite!!!

i went to see the friend i wanted to look after hayden and i didnt even have a chance to ask her before she said " you want me to look after hayden on friday?" im llike how do you know what? (small town!!! lol, forgot wehre i was and who i have been speaking to! lol, but the big mouth whos looking after bailey :p mentioned it at playgroup yesterday (i wasnt there) sneaky buggers!

but she is happy to take him - her words (after a tough day dealing with her neice and nephew - on top of her 3 kids) - "might make me realise not all kids are disobediant little ****s" - yes she was having one hell of a day - imo shes too nice to her brother looking afte his kids while hes at work, i would have told the ******* where to go by now, (DONT GET ME WRONG im all for helping, but when this poor woman is running around trying to get her kids ready for dancing she had to run into kindy to pick up her nephew - thats ok she normally would have to do that, but to then at about 4 drive round past her prothers house, and discover hes home and has been since 1:30 (kindy finishes at 2!) and he hadnt called to say im home, (or come and got the kids!) i thik she just about blew up in his face. poor girl.

but alas she still said yes to looking after my boy! lol too good a friend :flowerz: i feel bad soem days, as these girls do a lot for me, dropping jamie of to school, picking her up (when i need them - however i have been doing that for them in the last 6mths too so its not too bad,) looking after them when i need a break, or need to get something done, they are jsut awsome, and im like still yet to return the faver to a lot of them! - i know why they do it and why i havent thought,- its had something to do with my babies, 2pm kindy pick is just a tad hard here some days - when i have 2 sleeping babies! lol, and they all feel sorry for me and my 10.5mth gap between kids! lol
but i will return the favor (it will prob be when the kids are like 20 yrs old, but hey i'll get there! lol)

OMG I AM SO tired (and i really got to stop hititng the caps key) and my body hurts - its not my chest and not my belly - mes thinks its me pancreas! its all in the gallbladder region - however thats not there anymore so it can t be it! lol, im being told to eat right again i think, had a bad week or 2!

i should go have a nanna nap while the kids love each other and before kindy !

I have draws full of hotel toiletries in our spare bath room. I would hate anyone too look in there and see how many we have.

lol - hotel toiletries!!!

on our trip to sydney - we had a spa bath and i decided i was gonna have a bath - like the first on in like how long??? and so filled up my bath, poured the bubble bath in, and sat down, then i turned the spa on! lol there were bubbles everywhere! lol was rather fun and you know what again in like for ever - i didnt have to clean it up!! lol
:smiliedance:

oh i have had disaster after disaster the last 2 days, last night (oh at about midnight) i went in to the laundry (dead tired) and just about end up on my butt! there was water every where!! not what you wanna deal with on your way to bed!, i had a million things running thru my head - first OMG my machine is dead!!!!! (it was washing nappies!) - then, OMG i hope that was the rinse cycle water (again nappies in the machine!! lol) -then, OMG why dont we have more dirty towels in this bloody laundry (not wanting to make more washing) - then on my hands an knees on sopping wet towels looking in the laundry tub cupboard (as that seemed to be where the wate was comming from) the cupboard was swiming, the bow of powder was - WET! and i pull everything out, to find the culprit - the friggin tap under the sink!!! now this hole little intricrite pipe network under there had both me and dh stumped? thinking what the hell is this and what does it turn of/on. ect.... well what ever we did we managed to get the water to stop ****ing out everywhere - instead a nice steady drip remained till about 11am when someone finally came to fix it! - in the meanwhile, i have been too scared to wash (and there is sooooo much washing to do) . so that was lastnight, thismorning - i went to see daycare, about putiting the boys in for the week im in townsville - well they have no spots! :banghead: considering i spoke to them at the begining of the year about this, i was told to come back a week or 2 before i need them in care. well i did this and they have no spots! so now i have to try and figure out where my kids are gonna go while im away and dh is at work!!

under normal conditions, dh would take the week off, however casue they (work) refused to give him sick leave (hes entitled to 12 mths paid sick leave and that covers him or my self if im sick and he has to look after the kids) when i was in hospital (2 weeks) and he had no annual leave (again their fault for making us take 5 weeks leave over xmas ) he has had to use his 2 weeks carers leave (too many leaves imo but thats what they give) carers leave is to give mum a break ect.. ( i think the mine has its intentions to keep everybody happy - including spouses! ) however they refused to give him sick leave fo rthe time i was sick and he had to take the 2 weeks carers instead!! so now we are stuck with no paid leave available! and taking unpaid leave is a joke - its like -hello we have 3 kiids to feed!!! 1 week unpaid will greatly affect the whole budget! stupid dumb ****s - its human resources and i think they only think like mum and dad are working - or that couples are childless out here, casue they really dont like hearing the my wife is sick i have to look after the kids - the first thing they say is - put them in care! we are like yeah sure that again is $3-400 out of the budget a week! arghhhh
so now i have to figure out these kids!

now you'd think - if the government so badly needs nurses, then they would offer better care options for those of us studying with kids! (i know im dreaming!) it a bit liek text books - why if they are a requirment of the subject, then are they not just givent to us an dthe price of them added to the total uni fees!?????

ok thats my **** for the day, i need to sleep

AZ apparently bananas (for most people) are a good "blocker". That and white rice can cure you in India I'm led to believe.
It seems Genevieve has the beginnings of a cold, she has a runny nose again the poor little thing. She is dosed up and back in bed. We are meant to go to playgroup today but we shall see - I'm not going to wake her up and hopefully she'll stay asleep a bit longer.
On that note I should get on with things whilst its quiet in this house!
I wish I was at Palazzo Versace with Sabby just relaxing in luxury and being looked after completely!

If someone is upset should should ALWAYS stop and see what is wrong...

I have always said this to my husband and on numerous time we have had to do a u-turn in the car if we have seen someone upset etc on the side of the road.

Yesterday however my husband didn't take that advice.

He saw a young girl running along the side of the road on his way home from work bawling her eyes out (he didn't stop as he was by himself and hates to stop being a male and confronting a young girl etc).

Well turns out he should have stopped and checked why the poor girl was upset:

I have the most amazing little boy today (not that I don't think he is amazing everyday), this morning I started my usual tidy of the house and started in my room the room after that is Oscar's. I go into his room and he runs in after me and asked me what I was doing to which I replied cleaning his room. He then says 'no Mummy, Oscar will clean the room. To which he promptly made his bed and picked up the stray toys and then he proceeded into Isla's room and made her bed and picked up her toys!

I am very proud of him I really am. :D

Hello my dears, just a quick one to say hi before I get on with the rest of the day! We're heading out to lunch in the city with friends we haven't seen for a year which will be lovely. There is sunshine here at the moment for the first time in almost a week, that drying the clothes style sunshine, the type we need!!!
Tomorrow is my Dh's 40th birthday! We are having some of the family around for lunch - they're all invited but some are away and some work every day of the week. So it will be 8 adults around the table for lunch and two toddlers - what fun!
Dh has just gone out to do the Hunter Gatherer routine at the shops and I should really get on with some cleaning. I really don't want to do it tomorrow, no fun on a Birthday!

HI everyone..well we're back from the land of the long white cloud...coming home was an experience by itself.
Well firstly Braden has enjoyed himself thoroughly in NZ with family around. We have a beach bum in our hands we think, even when he was freezing cold and felt like an icicle he still wanted to go into the water, you just ry and take him out of it! He also got spoilt from Granddad and Auntie (who promised that she will she him at least once a year). I think he put her off from having kids of her own, as we were all staying at FIL's beach house for a while she was with him almost all the time and realised how hard work kids could be. It was quite funny actually when we got there everyone was fighting over who will look after him by the end of it all everyone was pointing fingers at the other person on who will look after him.
The drama came in coming home, so we thought we'd tire him out so he would sleep on the way home just like he did on the way there, boy were we wrong! He whinged and cried all the way home, thank goodness for a few people who were trying to entertain him, not even the flight attendants were helpful. It seemed like they all went past us when he was calm but when he was whinging and crying they were all nowhere to be seen. So we got to the airport and got into our car which was in long term parking and drove on home. I wanted to stop by the supermarket to get stuff for dinner and Braden's milk, DH wanted to get home to use the loo first, so we did and when DH went back out, the car wouldn't start! He charged the battery overnight and nothing..the battery was completely flat...at least it got us home, someone might have been watching over us..at least we did not get stuck at the airport. And then our internet modem conked out, so am using DH's work laptop which has a dial up connection (i will never go back to dial up again!)
Other than that, things are good, I start a new job on Monday and Braden a new daycare. So hopefully he copes well after having two months with me ...
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, looks like its gonna be a nice sunny one

He's a funny little fella my little man lol ;)

Yesterday the kids went to a birthday party and Isla well she is quite the inventive type and thought party hats were much more useful around her neck with her bits of party food in rather than on top of her head. Cheeky monkey lol

Last night DH took Isla to bed (she was asleep) and I must say it too often cause when DH put Isla into her cot she woke up and began crying, last night I didn't feel 100% well (bit of a cold) and so just put my head into my hands and said oh no (because Isla woke up and I just wanted to go to bed). Anyway Ozzy run over to me and said 'Mum, Oscar say it'? I had no idea what he was on about so just said 'yes, darling' to which he promptly yells at the top of his voice 'bring her back Daddy'! LMAO I think I must say it too often :p

I went to a Tupperware party today and omg I actually bought something! Not much (just 2 bowls) but now I can say I own 4 pieces of Tupperware lol! Or 5 pieces if I include the pickle picker upperer that I got free today at the party.

oooh i love and hate tupperwear

its great stuff, good quality and all - just soooo damm expensive!!

oh but i do hate the modular mates sets - i really just cant stand to look at that stuff for another 50 years! mums cupboard is enough thanks!

i love the mixing bowl set, the scales (they are still alive today!! def. exceeding the previous scales!) and the slicer thing (you know to slice thin slices of veggies)

oh and the bread box - although very expensive (like $80 i think!!) IS THE best! i got it discounted as i had held a party, and omg my bread - although doesnt last long before being eaten, can last like double the time it lasted before! i always had to throw awy like 1/2 loaf cause it was covered in mould! :barf:

well i finally pulled out the kids winter gear - jamie has NOTHING!!, hayden has plenty of day clothes however has out grown the 15 something size 0 fleece rompers we have (dammit) so i need to get him some rompers and thats about it, maybe one or 2 good clothes more. bailey well thanks to om and another one of my friends - has a hell of a lot more than i thought he had!!, he will need pjs, and some pants, thats about it! - so im gonna got to spotlight and see if they have any fleece on sale and make hayden a few rompers, and some leggins for jamie (as she can then wear her normal school clothes and i dont have to buy a whole new wardrobe only to have it painted! )
kids are soooo expensive! lol

im so kicking my self ffor not going crazy at the end of last winter and buy for this winter! - however this year i will - i will save some $$$ over the winter and go on a spending spree !

well i must go , we have kindy soon, and i think i need to have hayden weighed again - hes gone down a size in hihs nappies - im a little concerned hes weight might be dropping, better to have it checked then not!

Kells
21-04-2008, 08:07
AO - Hope everything is ok with the weight drop. :fingerscrossed: And I hear you about the outgrown clothes! My DD1 has been in a size 3-4 for 2 years (she will be six next month) which has been great - her clothes have lasted two years, but she obviously had a growth spurt this year and needs a whole new set of winter stuff! (She is rapt though, cos she can finally be wearing the same size as her age )

OM - What a good little cleaner you have. Oh, and I think Isla's idea about storing the food around her neck is fantastic! I might try that myself...much less work involved!

Nanay - Good to hear you are back safe and well, and that you got to spend some time with your family.

QC - Hope the party went well  I'm sure you had a great time.

Nic - Hope you are feeling well :)

Well, as for me, I am hoping that at my obstetrician appt this morning he will do an internal and tell me I am starting to dilate and will have the baby this week :D (I'm dreaming here....) I am so sick of these braxton hicks. I dont remember having them as much with the other kids. Oh well, 12 days to go....hopefully less :fingerscrossed: I set up the cradle this morning and Phoebe jumped straight on in! Someone is going to have her nose put firmly out of joint in the next couple of weeks! My poor baby! Well, I'm gonna go. Having another tummy spasm and need to walk through it.

Have a great day xx

hayden just head butts, everything - he will have a good old game of head butting us, and just before he was headbutting my chest, i often hear banging noises and will look around to find him banging his head against the wall?????

i dotn recall this with the older 2 so im a little worried???????

oh and does anyone have any ideas on how to make me less tired thru the day? i am like buggered, and i have even been going to bed early! and nanna napping and im still stuffed, i sat on the couch just after i put the boys down for a nap today and i was watching tv (for like a few seconds) and was out to it, i did this like 4 times in less than 15mins!

Angel one - last week Bailey was throwing himself to the floor according to the video evidence, I think your kids are just pleasure seekers, just not in a way we would consider ourselves! I have no real idea about what to do about tiredness - eat good meals, get enough sleep at night and get some fresh air and exercise?
All is fine here. We had a lovely birthday weekend for Dh, another fancy meal out on Saturday for lunch, G was very patient with the whole thing, she likes to be out amongst it all. Sunday's luncheon party went well, the toddlers had a good time together and us adults had a great meal. The cooking was shared between Dh, my mum and myself and it was all good!
Dh is getting G ready for bed so I suppose I will be summonsed for the supper time milk delivery in a minute.
ps OM - I love Oscar doing your "yelling" for you!!! What a laugh!

Well back from GC last Thursday and did I miss my little princess!!! I was in tears the first night as I wasn't able to get hold of DH to talk to her but then after an hr he called me and I felt better and partied on. The 3 days was so exhausting. We had so much activities day and night. Hotel was soooo nice! It was a great break but I was sooo tired when I got back and missing my DH and Chelsea so much. Thank goodness I had friday off and spent it with Chelsea.

Chelsea is better from her throat infection. Gets cheeky at times and most of the times she only listens to me when it comes to disciplining...

OM and NIC71. As I have said many times before, your very talented!.

Well I am going to sell Tupperware. On Saturday is my announcement party. Any Sydney Ladies free on sat at 2pm? It is at my house. And it is the last week the summer catalogue is available.
If your interested I would love to have anyone around. just PM me.

Well Natalia is talking heaps now. It is not always clear or recognisable. But its still talking.
She does "cheers" non stop now. A meal takes for ever as we cheers the whole time clinking glassing (or sipper cup to our glass).

I'm also thinking of moving her out of her bubba car seat and in to a maxi rider. I want to keep the baby one in good nic for the next baby.

Oh and it looks like we are being posted to Newcastle in Dec/Jan!

The antratica set is great. I have seen and used a couple of things and can not wait to get my hands on one for myself to use the whole set.

Do you mean the 1l pilchers? they are cool. You would be able to put the water and powder in and shake them all up in there and store it. So much easier.

I love it all. I can not wait to get 100000 hang on spoons, They are one of my fav things lol.

OM and Nic - you guys are very talented :yelclap: I really need to get off my butt and make some nappies for the new bub, but just cant seem to do it at the moment. I am considering just buying the GK outers and making my own inserts (I have about 3m each of hemp and bamboo that has been sitting here for about 8 months!).

But I bought a Snap Press AGES ago, and have only used it once, so should really make my own outers too. Unless I just sold the press on Ebay to make the money for the GK's..... :ecomcity:

Well, I'm still pregnant. Ob appt was fine - told me I was 3cm dilated which I got excited about but did a thread on here and discovered people walk around for weeks like that! :crying: So still no action. DH has offered to 'help' iykwim, but I dont know that I'm up to it just now! He will come when he comes I spose. (the baby, not DH!! ;))

kells keep the press!! i have found apart from doing the nappies, i have used it instead of buttons! jamies kindy dresses are snapped at the back rather than buttoned or zipped, makes it easier (as i hate losing buttons and couldnt be bothered dealing with the zip!)

oh oh oh i just had a brain wave!!!
i can use the snaps to adjust the kids pants!! (i always find jamies legs are longer than her waist (lol did tha tmake sence?? - ok i mean her pants in her waist size are too short!)) but i can add snaps to make them a little tighter!!
ok now im losing it!

I got some penguins (just made another cover with that) - penguins with black cuffs, denim coloured fleece, really, really soft microfleece, blue stripes (made another cover) and some bright purple fleece. I'm going to make some HoneyBoy nappies (bought the pattern :smiliedance:) so needed some fleece for that.

Now I've just realised I need more bamboo. lol

Hey Ladies....

Sorry I havent been posting, I havent got the net at home anymore, but I do try to keep up with what's going on...

...Just a quick one though as Kyan is screaming bloody murder on my mums lap.

Is anyone elses bubs going through separation anxiety atm? Kyan has just gone feral. He'll sleep really well during the day, go to bed well at night , but wake up a few hours later, and just scream the house down. I'll go in, either give him a drink, his duck or a dummy, and still just won't settle. So, I sit next to the cot and try and settle him with touching him and he just screams louder and tries to push me away, so I'll move back, and he'll get even more upset. I end up caving after a while and put him in bed with me where he'll sleep scream for a while longer, but eventually settle. For almost 2 weeks now, he's been doing this every night, and ends up screaming from about 9pm till around 1am. And he'll still scream with me holding him, patting him etc...he ends up falling asleep because a) he's lost his voice & b) he's exuasted. Nothing has really changed at home, but he is now at daycare 3 days a week, while I'm at uni....however he's been in care 3 days since Feb...

...any ideas what to do? No sleep for either of us has us both so tired and grumpy.

Oh...and he's all upset and whingy all day as well when he is home with me....

HELP!!!!

Superstar - Same thing here too. I thought it may have been a 'sixth sense' thing on Phoebe's behalf that a new baby was coming, but obviously it's an age thing. Not much advice I'm afraid - just try and cope the best you can and hang in there :hugs: Must be hard with Uni as well.

AO - I have done the pants adjuster thing with the snap too. (Which means I lied cos I must have used it twice :p). I did kind of like the Pumpkin Patch adjuster on DS's school pants last year. Works well

Speaking of the separation anxiety, my 30 seconds are up. I have a screaming girl at my legs so will catch up later.

Nic - you must be pleased he hasn't worked out how to open the sauce bottle yet! How dare you go to the toilet by yourself.
Superstar - the separation anxiety is huge in this house at the moment. I'm sorry to hear your nights are dreadful at the moment, we had that a few weeks ago and it was pretty destroying. I am pleased to hear that you are going to uni this year though, you must be feeling like you are achieving something there!
Was beating myself up this morning re: not being pg again yet and not losing much weight at the moment either. Decided against playgroup as couldn't stand the thought of being surrounded by glowing pg women. A friend is coming over with her little boy this afternoon, so G will get some play time with a pal - and I will get a good chat with mine. Genevieve is having her nap and I'm starting to feel a bit better about the world. Luckily I don't get down for too long, poor dh has had me in tears on him twice today already.

lol nic! lol
mine dont go making messes, they just eat - bailey has often been found hiding in the old pantry (walk in one) feasting on dry weetbix!!! or grabing handfulls of rice bubbles and munching on them!

i think the last mess episode we had was at my sisters place when hayden found a bottle of oil on the floor (beside the fridge big bottle i beleive) and managed to open it and pour it all over the floor!!! thankfully my little smart **** sister, said hold on (as im about to start mopping it up) and pours a heap of salt on it?? im sitting there thinking you ****ing cow now i have a bigger mess to clean up!!! but no she was good, it made the clean up heaps easier! (she works in a resturant!!!! lol)

ok we are home, the boys are in bed and my lunch is cooking!

unfortuntaly however - bailey found the food, and of course it was all loaded with sugar!!! so of course this will jsut fuel the little bit of thrush he has (had a relapse in judgement the other day and forgot just how much bread and cookies he had eaten!) arggh hes butt is soooooooo frustrating!

so on that note, before i ruin my lucnh (burn it!) does anyone know of any recipes (websites) that have no sugar or very low sugar baking that would be ideal for a 2 year old??? i need food for this kid as fruit and sandwiches is ****ing him off as his bro and sis can eat what ever thsy want!
lol poor child!

Evening ladies...

Well I have a new little man. Out of desperation I seachered the chemist for something that might help Kyan settle. Came across this natural product called Brauer Calm, which states it relieves irritabilty, restlessness and insomnia. I was quite a bit skeptical about it, because I havent had much luck with natural stuff, but I bought it anyways, and my god - it's my new best friend.

It's just 1ml before bed, I give it to him while he's in the bath, and Kyans just improved 10-fold. He's slept all night the past 2 nights and hasnt been waking till 9ish.

Before that, he'd wake at 11pm and scream till 2ish and then be up for the day at 5am. And he was just so grumpy all day.... but man

I have the happiest little boy, and because he is sleeping so much better, we have been tantrum-free the last couple of days...

...Amazing stuff (please don't be a conscience!)

Quiet times on this thread at the moment it seems!
It is very cold here at the moment, but then again Canberra and Melbourne would beat us it seems in the low temperature stakes!
Today was lovely though - I was out in the garden with my niece, did a whole lot of washing, Genevieve got to run around her own back yard for a change!
We had a great weekend, went down to my parents to stay, had a slap-up roast lunch on Friday and went down to the southern highlands for a drive around on Saturday. Genevieve coped with a day of galleries and antique shops splendidly!
Superstar - it sounds like you have found a wonderful solution to your issues - I am going to keep my eye out for a bottle of the same stuff. It seems with my little one she is growing into the little girl who had a little curl - and you all know the rest of that verse!

:raspberry: just kidding... But it'd be nice to have two little angels who didn't fight over toys, be nice not to have to listen to them squealing and crying, they constantly push, hit and shove each other, and it'd also be nice for me not to have to act as 'peacekeeper' between the three of them...

So what is everyone doing this long weekend????

We are not doing much unfortunately as DH had to work today and is working again on Monday. :hissy:

Went the markets today and picked up Isla a little terry towelling bath robe (which I had wanted to get her for a long while - went to buy one the other day in K-mart and looked at the price and though nooooo I think I will make one instead). Anyway they had this gorgeous pink bathrobe in Isla's size at the markets today for $0.50 cents I had to get it! I also picked up a vintage blue and white striped dress for myself too for $0.25c and I think it looks cute and is a great fit.

Discovered Isla has a new tooth today too. So that is tooth number 11 for her I think (or it could be 12 she wouldn't let me look close enough at the top of her mouth).

Were actually down in Brissie for all this week. As a mother's day present, my best friend bought me a holiday! So a heap of my old friends and I are going down the coast for friday, saturday and sunday... which is also a bit ironic, my mother's day present is actually taking me away from my son! But nevertheless...a holiday which I very much deserve. My stepdad and mum will look after K at their house. Cannot wait, but I know at the same time, I will miss K like nothing else, and my mum has made the rules of only 2 phone calls per day. :hissy:

Great bargin's O's mum... I never find stuff like that. I think the best I've done is a pair of sprout jeans for $1.

I just can't get over the rate at which Kyan is learning. He just picks up a million new things now, and it's just been so much fun because we can interact so much better, and understand each other better. This arvo we actually kicked the ball back and forth, and I loved every second of it. This is the stuff I've been dreaming about ya know?

Just thought I'd stick a couple of photos up of Kyan from last week. (He needs a haircut bad!!!)

O's mum .... we've got an exciting week-end planned .... more painting! I'm so over painting! But at least today I got the hallway (omg ... it seemed never ending) and Sammy's new room painted.

So tomorrow ... it's time to refresh the nursery and then Erin's room. Firstly I have to patch heaps of holes in her room .... she thought it would be fun to hang off the shelves ... which promptly pulled straight off the wall leaving lovely holes - mind you that was only 3 weeks after I freshly painted her room (while pregnant with Sam). :( But I've perfected my plastering skills over the last few weeks, after teaching myself how to patch and plaster, then testing my new skills on the huge holes in the rumpus room wall from where we moved the air-conditioner - so the small holes in Erin's room should be a breeze.

I did tell DH he had to paint the toilet though ... I'm too big now get behind the loo to paint .... so that room is all his.

After that all we've got to go is the study, laundry and my room .... all which have so much junk in them I'm dreading it.

So there you have it ... my extremely exiting week-end!

Superstar - great photos! Glad to hear you're having a few days holiday next weekend, how lovely that will be for you. Do you wonder where the year + has gone, out kicking the ball with your lad?
O's mum - good shopping! We went to a fete at one of the local hospitals today and did some good shopping too. I feel like we should send a cheque as a donation too, as we got a new handknitted big rug for $20, and I know the wool alone would've been close to $200. Anyway, we did spend up at the fete, and the rug will be put to good use.
All is well here. My dad has had some health scares since January, and yesterday after his biopsy he has got the All Clear - the alternative was cancer, so as you can imagine we are very relieved.
The other to-be-confirmed news is that Dh has had a paper accepted at a conference in Chicago in July - so we might all be making a trip this year if his manager authorises dh's attendance! As you all know I was expecting to be having a baby in August, and with that in mind I didn't think we'd be having another big trip this year, but now with the change in circumstances we shall see. I don't want to get too excited in case dh's manager pulls the pin on it.
Apart from that we have a daughter who should be sleeping but keeps singing out every so often, she seems happy though, the cheeky thing!
PS Nic that sounds like a really exciting weekend, and just the kind of thing a pg woman would think was a good idea!! Yay for a freshly painted house though! Have fun with the holes in the wall of your daughter's room!

I know! I don't know what is wrong with me ... but every pregnancy I've decided we must paint! Must be my version of nesting ... don't clean the marks off the walls ... just paint over them.

Wow, Superstar - Kyan looks sooo big and tall!! He's still quite the cutie pie too! Kicking a ball too?? What a champ... Enjoy your break (you deserve it!!) :smiliedance:

O's Mum - wow, what a bargain! You sure have a knack for these things!! Not having a long weekend over here in NSW, though, but tomorrow we're doing a dinner thingy at a RSL club to celebrate MIL's 60th birthday. Never been out to dinner at a restaurant with the twins so I hope everything goes OK.

QC - Sounds exciting! Fingers crossed that it all goes to plan, and DH gets a trip to Chicago...

Nic - Painting?? Lol, definitely the nesting urge!! I can't paint my walls so sometimes, I feel a slight twinge of envy at those who can create feature walls in their houses. You're getting there, what's 3 more rooms??

Have a lovely weekend

QC - Good to hear your dad's doing better. Ad that trip sounds fantastic!!!

O's mum I don't ever really see it, but everyone always keeps telling me. I have though seen photos of me at the same age, and we do look very much the same. K also looks so much like his cousins, which is weird because I look nothing like my sister....

How is everyone dealing with tantrums? Kyan chucked a whopper yesterday. His frst ith kicking and hitting and just screamed hishead off... simpl because I wouldn't let him put his toys in the toilet. I'm planning on using planned ignoring, providing his safe... and have been doing that for tantys, but he just gets louder and more upset.... starting to freak when it happens at the shops or something...and I won't know what to do!

Also, whats the best way to leave Kyan on thursday night? I was thinking of letting him know I was leaving, lots of hugs and kisses and stories, and then putting him to bed, and then going. Trouble is he's never been in the situation of waking up in the morning and i'm not there. Is he going to freak? just don't want my mum to have 4 days of hell, becaus Kyans wondering where I've gone....

Superstar, lovely photos. When James is chucking a tantrum i usually try to ignore it and if hes being naughty i put him in his bedroom for 1 minute and when i let him out hes better. I havent left James overnight so cant help with that, hope it goes well for you and him.

Oscars Mum you are a great bargain hunter

QC fingers crossed for a trip to Chicargo :fingerscrossed:

We bought a new vacuum on the weekend and they gave James a mini one for free, its exactly the same as the big one even sucks and has its own vacuum bag, so cute and hes been using it all weekend, cant wait for the batteries to go flat, im sick of the noise!

Any tips on how to stop James kicking while having his nappy changed, saying no has no effect, holding his feet makes him try to kick harder and while hes holding a toy he can still kick, its driving me nuts! :hair:

Hi Everyone

Well, I am home. Actually, I've been home since Fri night but have just been SO busy!

Ryan James was born on Wed 30th April at 1.59pm - 4 and a half hours after my waters were broken. (I was induced). So, it was a quick labour - thank you all for your vibes :p

All went well, no tears, cuts or stitches, so I feel fine. All I'm dealing with now is my MASSIVE breasts that are rapidly filling with milk and killing me!

And I actually have both Phoebe and Ryan asleep at the moment. :yelclap:

Getting used to four kids is overwhelming, I must say. Getting the older two out the door by 8.10 this morning was a nightmare! Both babies were screaming and we lost a pair of school shoes! But, it's over now, and I can take a deep breath and start working on being a super organised mother...

I do have to go though, it's DD1's bday today, so I have a cake to organise for tonight!

Hope everyone is well. I will be back when I can to do personals. :)

Chelsea has 12 teeth now and molars still giving her hell and been unsettled at night. Still cute and loves to dance.

OM - G is matching Isla in the teeth stakes this week! She had 12 last week and now its 13 as of Sunday, and judging by the sleepless-ness this early morning the next three can't be far off. She does a top then a bottom to match usually within a day or two, then the same on the other side - at least that has been the pattern so far!
She is well, apart from the teeth business. I think she is starting to stir after a 2hr 40 min sleep. Someone needed to catch up I think!! She's not the only one, but this Mum keeps forgetting to rest - not too smart in that regard.

Thanks for all the good wishes. :)

He was 3.95kg, or 8lb 12oz in the old terms. He was 52cm long with a head circumference of 37cm, so quite a big boy on newborn terms, although he still looks just tiny.

Phoebe, on the other hand, looks like an absolute giant now. She looks really odd in her sleepsuits - like she is just massive. Shes not though, only 10.5kg, it's just that I'm used to a tiny one again!

Nic - Hopefully by the time you have your bubs I will be organised! I think it will probably take me that long :p

Doorbell ringing- back later!

Your pics are great!! Chelsea truly looks like a 'little princess'. First molars?? 12 teeth!! How weird - my boys only have their two front teeth on top and bottom and then the 1st molars on top - nothing in between! So there's only 6 teeth coming out ... gee, they seem slow in the teeth area!!

Glad you and Chelsea enjoyed the Hi5 concert, with or no Charli (isn't she pregnant  ) ...

Take care all, I'm off to bed!

P.s OMG Kells, 3.95kg?? How amazing that you had such a short labour!! Ouchie!! Yeah I can imagine that Phoebe must seem a 'giant' next to poor Ryan!! Hope all is OK and that you're managing well with the school drop offs/pick ups etc...

They look so funny with all those teeth don't they lol! I don't remember Ozzy having so many teeth at this age. Remember there is a pressure point under the big toe that helps with teething ;)
