How many DPO can you have a blood test and for the Hcg to show up on?

I am 8dpo now, and Im pretty sure I had an implantation dip on 6dpo.

Wait until you have missed AF or you get a positive HPT. Then get a blood test. HcG wont show up on a blood test til about 13dpo anyway.


ETA - if you implanted on 6dpo then you need to count 14 days from there... which would take you to 20dpo.

Hang on - i thought it was the opposite. Blood test shows up before + hpt?

I thought blood tests would be able to give you a result a few days after conception?

Or atleast WAY before a HPT would.

Yeh thats what I thought! So you think 2 days?? You think being already 2 days past implantation i could get a +ve BT at 9dpo? 3 days past implantation?

I peed on a stick on 9dpo and it was faint but there.

A blood test WOULD show up a BFP before a HPT; but my point is that going to get a blood test at 8 or 9dpo before you even know if you've missed AF is a bit early. I doubt any dr would give you a referral for a blood test before 14dpo.

Stick with the HPT before you bother with a blood test; if you are pg then you need all the blood you can keep!

Hang on - sorry; I'm getting conception and implantation confused; pg brain :dizzy:

If you implanted on 6dpo then I would hang out probably another week or so before getting a BT.

I usually have a 13 day luetal phase so Im basically due in 5 days.

I have been temping and my chart is VERY VERY similar to my chart when I was pregnant so I guess I am jumping the gun a little :D

Ahhhh - well good luck!!! Charting never worked for me - OPK's seemed to do the job :yes:

Im doing both, charting and using opks.
