My clinic doesnt do a blood test unless you get a positive HPT so if I get the +'ve tomorrow morning I will call them and let them know and arrange a Blood test!
I have some of the hospital test strips my Aunty is a nurse at the local mater hospital and she got me a few so that I didnt have to buy any, I also have another left over from last year which I think is a first response so I might pee in a cup and do 2 tests one of each just to compare!
I spoke to a friend of mine last night at the wedding who went through the same Doc as me and has just found out her first cycle has also worked, she tested on the Monday and it showed up, faintly but it showed up at about5-6mins she said!
Im so nervous and everytime I pee I think should I shouldnt I??? My only concern is at the moment my FMU aint that potent as I am already peeing 3 times a night... so might just have to do one really really early or sleep with my legs crossed!
either way Im so nervous I want this bubba so bad!

Well unfortunately it must have all been from the drugs... It was negative! Im devastated... I feel so let down and empty!
I shouldnt even be trying to fall PG again I should have a healthy little 4 month old bubba here in my arms instead I have an empty heart with my bubba in heaven and another failed IVF cycle!
Atleast I have 7 frosties so I will call the clinic shortly when they open and let them know so I can book in for my FET once AF starts...

Hi Ladies,
Have been out of the loop for quite some time as have been in the city and away from internet.
I was hoping for some wordly advice, I had a full stim cycle this month and had x2 blastos transferred on Easter Sunday, my trigger 5000 pregnyl was on the sun 16th March. I had been feeling really well with no symptoms from crinone or anything over last 2 days have felt occ cramps and thinking AF was on her way had a can of bourbon yesterday!!!, so today I thought I would do a HPT and get the torture over with as my BT is this friday and it is my fathers 70th B/day on Sat I was hoping to give him a fab present, I did HPT this am I am 9dpt and got a BFP very quickly sooooo to cut this long winded story short do you all think that it could still be the high dose of pregnyl from the trigger still in my system. I have never been pregnant and NEVER seen two lines before. I am sooo trying not to get ahead of myself.
Cheers Tina

Jezzy- First off Oh bourbon how I miss it lol.
I had a trigger shot then five days later a day 5 blasto FET.
On the day of trasfer I had another HCG shot I tested on the tuesday which made my embryo 9 days 4 dpt.
I got a NEG the next day I tested and got a faint line Bt came back pos a few days later.
I asked my nurse she said the HCg shot will stay in you system for 5 days the first test was 4 days past my shot so dont know if that helped but sounds like good news for you.
i'm new to this in fact any IVF forum and yours was the closest thead i could find to match what i am experiencing - THE DISSAPOINTMENT. I just returned from clinic after first u/s at presumably 7 weeks Pg from 2nd IVF attempe a FET cycle and they found no heart beat and foetus was smaller than expected, i was told to go home and i would miscarry naturally. I'm so disspointed, i thought i was pregnant, I WAS PREGNANT and now i have to wait to miscarry and then wait another month before tyring again. I'm not getting any younger, friends around me are pregnant, i feel its so hard, but i still want it so badly. I guess we have to keep trying and we'll get there. please respond i could use some support and i don't know how to post my own thread only respond to anothers - yours:)

Hi maxi,
I am so so sorry to hear about what you are going through.
:hugs:big cyberspace hugg for you.
I have been through a few attempts at IVF unfortunately none have been sucessful to date.
I think we all grieve when we hear the news and I really feel for you at the moment as I cant even imagine what you are going through.
I just want to say I am so sorry and really hope and pray that your next round will be the one.

p.s. you can start your own thread by clicking on new thread about a third of the way down the page with all the threads.
i have had some bad news too. I have justreturned from clinci where they were doing my first u/s at 7 weeks pg and they found no hearbeat, low hcg levels and a smaller than expected not moving foetus - i am so dissapointment, i thought i was pregnant - I WAS PREGNANT AND NOW I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO WAIT I WILL MISCARRY NATURALLY, although this is not expected immediatly and could take up to 2 weeks, my hcg levels are still rising. This is no common, but does happen, so for all my trying this was my second IVF attempt and a FET cycle i got pregnant and then miscarried - i am so disspoinmtned, what a let down. This is my first ever post, ihave been reading others up until now but finally have succumb to the desperation and need of support. It's such a desperate thing this IVF i hear it in so many posts and i am now just as desperate. there is postives though, it does work, many women are proof to that, i guess if we keep trying one day OUR success story will be of benefit to others, but right now it's a sob story:(
have you had many attempts at IVF?
has anyone out there had a miscarriage following IVF? Can anyone share a similar story with me that has a happy ending?

Hi Maxi,
I know exactly how you feel. I fell pregnant on my first IVF cycle. I had a scan at 6 weeks and the baby was really small but heart beat good. Had another scan a week later and again the heart beat was even better but baby still small. I had my first u/s at 11 weeks - so you can imagine we had told everyone that we were expecting. Got to the u/s and no heartbeat, the baby had passed away at 9 weeks. So I understand your dissappointment. Go and cry as much as you like, it does help. I don't understand why they don't put you in for a curette??? I had one straight away.
Let yourself grieve for this baby - then when you feel you are ready, go again. All here will give you all the support you need. We are all trying to stay positive but we all do have our bad days.
Sending you lots :hugs:

Hi Maxi,
I have had one fresh transfer and two frozen.
I started a further stim cycle in Jan/Feb 08 which was cancelled due to the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation.
I am now on my next stim cycle. I have a blood test tommorow to see how I am progressing and hopefully a scan on Thursday.
I feel much less discomfort this time round and I dont know if that is a good or bad sign as I would love to make as many eggs as possible to help our chances.
Suppose I will just have to wait and see.
There are a lot of women here to provide support and no you are not desparate to need support, you are completely normal.
I just wish I found this site sooner as I would have realised what I am going through is completely normal.
I am here for you if you need me.

have you had many attempts at IVF?
Hi Maxi, I know exactly how you feel, it's just the pits isn't it! I really feel for you and DH at this difficult sad time. I had a similar thing happen to me, got the much wanted BFP...however, was told that my HCG was lower than it should be. They kept monitoring my HCG levels weekly and they kept rising but weren't always doubling. It was just awful, I was hanging on be a thread from week to week as they kept doing the BT's. When levels were high enough, they called me in for a scan and it looked to be eptopic. It was so traumatic, going through all the motions of the pregnancy only to be hit so hard with such disappointing news.
Maxi you have to draw from this experience all the strength you can muster and keep going. It's a long hard journey but all will be worth it in the end when we hold our little babies. :bee:
i don't undertand all the terminology
Why is one's period referred to as AF? What's BMF? can you enlighten me with these and ALL others i need to know
Thanks and Good luck
A lucky smiley flower :flowerz:
Dear Happy Dance,
On my first IVF i used acupunture and went for tretment once a week and then during the drugs i wnt twice per week - i produced 17 eggs, 10 of which became embryos (5 Day Blastocysts) have you considered IVF to help with the egg making and its redices the risks of OHS - GOOD LUCK and stay happy and Keep dancing
Thanks for the support and sharing x
Dear Nevergiven up,
when did you have your frozen cycles and why are the ICSI more successful for you than the frozen? there is so much i don't understand and i hate being so obsessive - but its so hard not to be on the IVF road as its so involved every step of the way, i guess we can still let go and let god - i think i need to pray more about letting go. We do what we can but the rest is out of our hands - this i need to remember in order to be less obsessive - it just dosn't become me! I've spend nearly all avo on this forum. You will get there if you keep trying, it's the law of probability, you can get pregnany you know that, so i guess keep going and i hope this cycle is the one that is THE ONE. Good luck. it helps to know there are others just like me, same feelings, we are all so courageous, keep me posted :)

Dear Nevergiven up,
when did you have your frozen cycles and why are the ICSI more successful for you than the frozen?
Hi Maxi, it takes a while to get used to all the acronyms so here is what I have found so far, you might want to print it out as it does help. We do all speak a different language on here

In regards to my IVF cycle history, my x2 ICSI cycles were my full stimulated cycles, ICSI is the name for injecting the sperm into the egg and is only done if there is any potential issues with sperm. In my case my DH's morphology was slightly below the benchmark so my FS recommended we use the ICSI approach. I have had better luck on a fresh cycle rather than a frozen cycle so far but there are plenty of women in here who have gotten their BFP on a frozen cycle.
It's easy to lose track of the time in this forum, I am totally addicted to it.

Hi Maxi,
I have given some thought to accupuncture but I havent done it yet.
It is difficult to get the time off work, or maybe that is just an excuse.
I will definately go for it if I have another IVF cycle.
thanks for the tip

Oh Maxi - I feel your pain, I know what you are going through, like so many of us on this journey. I've had the same thing happen (7 times). No heatbeat, it so devestating. My hormone levels keep raising so I've had to have D&C as my body wants it so bad that I don't miscarry naturally. I'm pregnant again (this time naturally) and am nervously waiting my scan on the 21st to make sure everything is alright. You want to get excited, but your heart and head don't let you.
People will say things like of you were only "just" pregnant it doesn't matter, but you are pregnant and all the joy and hope has been taken away - it does matter. Be kind to ourself and take care.
Love Michelle

Hey girls just wanted to pop in and let you know that Im ok... Had a BT yesterday and definetly negative so now I am wishing AF would hurry up and arrive so I can start taking my meds for my FET! Im just so glad that I have 7 frosties so that I dont have to go through all the injections and what not again for atleast a few cycles...
So now Im waiting for AF then a scan a week or so later then then FET a week after that... then another 2 weeks of madness!
im so tempted to defrost 2 but I just dont know if my cervix would be able to hold if both took... I should just be patient and try one at a time!
