View Full Version : oooh not a happy clothie!!!
oooh dear - I have a new site to lurk at...
all clothies should check this site out - if you aren't already familiar with it...
www.ozebaby.com.au it is spectacular.. lots of nappy sites all roled into one (sigh.... so many nappies... such a small budget!!!!)
I am soo frustrated  I just got outbid on several dreamytime nappies (gorgeous night time pockets by Greenkids) - I was soo excited... now I'm on a bit of a downer  I think I need chocolate...

psssst..........was this an auction just for Green Kids? The others seem more like a buy it now thing. Am I completely wrong or did I miss something?
Great site though, I am getting more informed by the minute!
greenkids had an auction - as did bubblebubs (two AIO nappies... hand embroidered.. so more $ than usual.. due to labour and pure prettiness :D)
... apparently there will be more auctions later ..
just keep checking back at the site .. :D

I'm confused - I don't think the aUuctions work like ebay where it holds your maximum bid.
And the site needs to develop its About Us and FAQ... NO ANSWERS THERE.
It all makes sense now...........thank you!

Sorry Jen, I was bidding there too and probably only managed to push the price up! I stopped at $13.00 though-I've bought too many lately and I am starting to get those looks from DH.
Great site though, I'm in the process of finding out how to start selling my range of baby skincare products on it.:fingerscrossed:

Perhaps our clothie-loving Veve should get off her computer chair butt and start crafting up these nappies herself... Just a suggestion *smiles sweetly*...
I mean all the time she spends on the net, really could be put to better use - don't you think?

OH lukaelemo...
why on EARTH would I spend three hours screaming at the sewing machine (which NEVER follows my instructions  ) when I can spend three hours constructively on the computer??? huh?? huh???
I tried sewing... it isn't good for my blood pressure...
MUMMAMIA- the clothies need that kind of feedback for the site - there are still some kinks... if there is an issue with the auctions let us know!!! (I emailed Janie last night to mention that it wouldn't take my bid.. :( ) - so she knows it isn't flawless yet...

Hmmmm that is a good website....not 100%sure how it works...which is probably a good thing as I have been on the prowl for more nappies lately:shame: :o
I in a tie dye mood....anyone know where there are some lovely tie dye nappies?
Great sight thanks  Veve. Another sight I can spend up big on:laughing:
I see they have cloth sanitary pads, this sounds a bit like the "you know what" thread that caused such controversy!

yeah - I dont know if I am THAT much a clothie  - but you never know... one day I might try them... :o
there are quite a few things on the site that I wouldn't buy - but having said that - most of it I haven't tried... (e.g. wool nappy covers etc).. one day I might step out of my comfort zone...

i need help> i decided to start buying cloth nappies because there is a strong chance i'll have 3 under 3 by the end of the year. i bought 5 zappy nappies from the eumundi markets in Qld, just to give it a go. i didn't buy their recommended pilcher pant thing because they were $11 each, on top of a $12.50 per nappy. without the pilcher though, the nappy is rendered useless......son peeing straight through nappy onto floor.
can anyone recommend me pilcher pants, or whatever they are called, and a good cloth brand.
what is dry pailing?
and am i doing the right thing, after i scrape all that hideous **** out of the nappy and throw it into the toilet, i soak the nappy straight into nappi san (i bought the generic brand though), then wash the next morning. then dry in direct sunlight.
any tips will be greatly appreciated

You might find that nappies that have a waterproof layer built in suit you better (eg all in ones or pocket nappies). You could try ebay for 2nd hand Zappy covers or you could buy some other kind of pilcher (eg from Kmart) which would do the job but not be as trim.
There is no "right" or "wrong" way to do your nappies - if you're happy with what you're doing then you're doing fine. ;) :)
