View Full Version : So has anyone tried...... (feedback please)
* Monkey Doodlez (One micro and one original)
* Blueberries (One one size pocket, one minky one size pocket and one sized minky side snap pocket)
* Cushie Tushies (2 x the new Coutures)
???
Please give me your honest feedback - I'm new to cloth.
I have ordered them and am waiting for them to arrive.
Getting by with only 9 day nappies made up of GKs, some Magicalls and some itti bittis.
Any other brands to go for? Particularly night nappies?
Thanks
:D:D:D

I have monkey doodles and cushie tushies.
Cushie tushies were our first MCNs too. Not super absorbant but ok for home. Monkey doodles are great for AIOs and a bit harder for the lil so n so to undo when the velcro overlaps. I think blueberries are similar to the berry plush but I have tried blueberries before.
We have just bought rolicking rascals (about $25 each) which were reasonably priced. Dh was astounded today (first time we have used them) they were super absorbent maybe even better than a disposable!! And they are one size fits all even
Otherwise I lurve the pocket change pocket nappies (about $28 each with 2 inserts). Dont need to pull the inserts out they just agitate out in the wash. Dont mind pea pods either for the price (about $18) find them nice and trim and I like bamboo inserts
Pockets arent as hard as I thought before I used them and much more absorbant.
I've got about 14 Blueberry one size minky pockets.. I love love love them!!
Bit on the bulky side, but absolutely gorgeous.
haven't tried the others, but I also love my Haute Pockets and Green Kids.
And for night time you can't go past a Baby Beehinds Bamboo with a good cover, or Krap Katchers (I use a Green Kids bamboo insert and bamboo booster in mine... but you can stuff with anything) they are the best night nappy.
Thanks girls, looks like I have some more shopping to do  DH will be thrilled! Good thing it's back to work on Monday for some nappy $$
I have decided to go with the BBBs for night (I think). KKs seem hard to get hold of. I've also heard Sandman's are good for night, but they seem hard to get old of too.
MM looking for some RRs I think - just love the name!! And the Pocket Changes look cute too.
I definitely want some hautes OJandMe.
May need to stick with some OSFM for now as DS only has one bottom. :o
Thanks for all your replies ladies
I think there's a mass release of KK's in June sometime. ;)
Yeah I read that somewhere - their site I think. I will sign up - thanks

Wild Child Dreamy Nights (fitted, so need woollies or a cover) are fantastic for night times and so are the Zada night nappies.
Both are hard to get hold of ... but well worth it.
Thanks Nic71 are the wild childs the tie dyed ones?

I love the blueberries - I think they are great.
Monkeydoodlez......hmmmm I am not overly keen. I think they are way overpriced and not very absorbant. I have one that I use when I know my daughter is due for a poo :D.
Night time nappies - We use Zada Creations Night Nappy. It is a premium fleece side snap and it is super absorbant. I use them on both my 12 month old and 2 year old. Would highly recommend them.

That's the ones. I'm lucky enough to have two of them atm and I love them! With a pair of knitted shorties over the top, my super peeing boy's clothes are still dry in the morning.

Forgot to add that IttiBitti's and Hautes are a favourite here too. SugarShots minky nappies are lush and super absorbant as well.
Thanks girls.
*sigh* I can't get them all. Can I :devil6:??
So many nappies and only one bum.

Remember it's coming into winter .... so you NEED more nappies as they don't dry as quick! :devil6:

Bahahahaha that is Perfect justification in my book! You will need to try several out to find what suits best. Go on you know you want to ;)
:D:D:D:D:D:D Nic you made my weekend.
(Hang on I have 12 on order already......)

Only 12! Gee you need more than that! :p
Oh ... and as Cheeky Little Monkey said ... the Sugar Shots are divine! I'm trying sooooo hard to get another atm.
My DH often says to me .... "don't you think he has enough nappies" .... and I did remind him it's coming into winter. ROFL. Can't argue with logic!
And you know my other "selling point" to my DH ... is resale value .... especially some of the popular WAHM brands ... you can re-sell them (in good condition) after you've finished for a good price ... so you are definitely not loosing out.
Hmmm yes, and it's my first baby and I want 3 or 4...... :D

That's clinched it then! You'll get your money's worth out of them!
I already have 9, with another 12 coming. DH says 21 is enough for day.
BUT DH says I can go ahead and get night ones now. :D:D AND I will need loads of those because they take ages to dry. :D:D:D
