I love wearing Jedd in his HAB and plan on wearing him for as long as possible. How far into the pregnancy should I stop wearing him?? Just when I dont find it comfortable anymore? :detective:

I am not sure when to stop...but like you I think when I feel like I cant then I will stop.

Saying that I dont wear DD that often anymore...just in a ring sling when around the house. If I had an ergo like I planned (just too darn expensive at the moment for us) I think I would would wear her heaps more

I would say when its not comfy anymore. I haven't actually babywore while pregnant because I have minimum of 3 yr age gaps between mine and only found out about slings and carriers when I had #4 (apart from the old uncomfy ones). I figure you would still be carrying him around anyway even if he's not in a sling so the weight shouldn't make a difference.

i would go with when your not comfy too, you know your limits and unless there is a medical reason to stop go with what feels right :)

I carried storm (shes was 16kgs at the time) in the ring sling and ergo a few times up till about 8 months, i found it easier carrying her this way than actually carrying her without them :)

You'll know once it gets uncomfy. I don't wear my toddler, but I do carry him a lot and I started to find it really hard when I was about seven months pregnant. It just felt like I was crushing the baby (although I'm guessing Jedd isn't a nearly-14kg-toddler!) and it was far too much strain on me.

Having said that, I think the child actually realises that you have something in your tummy. When I pick up my son now (which is a major struggle but still has to be done at times, even though I'm 38 weeks!), he does a frog leg thing to avoid putting his legs on my tummy! You may find that Jedd starts refusing to be worn.

I carried DS in a pouch style sling till I was about 8months pregnant when it got too much for me. As my bump grew I shifted to carrying him on my back so that there wasnt any pressure on my belly.

I couldnt handle it past 6 or so months maybe a little less but that was also because of feeling so rotten i just didnt have the strength !

Go with what you feel comfy with & others has said you can always go the back carry if its ok but awkward !

I'd suggest getting a Mei Tei. That way you can wear it in a high back carry (with the ties above your boobs) and it won't even touch your belly.

Google the Kozy Carrier or I'm sure you know the BabyHawk.

Awww how cute!

That's one reason why I bought an ergo (you can wear it low on hips), I figured I could still wear DD when pregnant, just gonna need the waist extender!!
