Hi there, When my DS was baptised he received a silver "My first curl" box, silver birth certificate holder on a stand, silver photo frames and money boxes, a sterling silver fork/knife/spoon set, coin sets from the Perth mint, St Christopher gold medallion/charm thingy and clothes. When DD was baptised she received some of the things as DS but being a girl she also received a few beautiful horse carousel ornaments that have the wind up underneath and play a little tune. They are a gorgeous gift if it's for a little girl. Alot of these gifts you can get from jewellers that have a gift section eg. Edments, Prouds, etc.Hope these ideas help. Bye!!

someone actually offered to purchase the cake for the gathering we had at our house afterwards... it was STUNNING... and had been made by a prof. cake maker...

One of the strangest gifts our DS received was a silver hip flask, engraved with his name. He'll love it when he turns 18 though !

we recieved heaps of beautiful stuff but the best gift was a set of beautiful books designed for little bubs under three, they are written by Amy Warren Hilliker and you can find them on www.zonderkidz.com

My fave of the books is called "God made you little one" and it just has the most beautiful simple language to describe how special your little one is, Im not very into any set religion so these books were beautiful as they arent preaching just lovely:)

Check them out they are a great gift and I love reading them to my son, who loves them too:D

our local chemist shop sells beautiful christening photo frames which I'm sure you could get similar at your photo shop. I think it would be a nice idea as no doubt they will be having someone take photos of the event.

Gifts for a baptism or christening are usually keepsakes. As the other girls have said - books, baby china/silverware, baby jewellery etc.

I was Godmother to my best friend's son and I thought she would get the usual traditional silver gifts (she did)so we bought him a pirate music box and a matching photo frame for his room and she loved it.
