Hi there, I am new here so please excuse my "newby" errors.....
I am married happily with 3 daughters, 9, 6 and just turned 4. We decided Xmas eve last year to TTC for a boy. I had implanon in for 4 years previously and had it out Jan 3rd.
52 days later, i finally got A.F :yelclap:
Another 23 days later I ovulated and my husband and I "got down" and I was sure I was PG. Unfortunately today AF arrived so I have to wait another 23 days to ovulate again. I know it has only been 1 month of actual trying, but the 2 months before that waiting for my body to return to normal....it seems like it has been forever. I am thankful for the OPK as they were spot on, so now I know my cycle, after 4 years of no AF.
I just needed a place to vent....I had all the "symptoms" of being pregnant, but obviously am not.........GRRRRRRR!!!!!

:hugs: It is very frustrating when you have long cycles because when AF comes you know you have such a long wait until you are in with another chance. I feel your pain!

As for the pregnancy symptoms, a lot of AF symptoms for some people are very much the same as preg symptoms. They include- sore boobs, tiredness, skin breakout, nausea etc. So it's incredibly frustrating when you think for sure you are pregnant, only to AF turn up and ruin things for you xo

Good luck, sending you some blue baby dust :babydust2:

Well I am now into Day 7 of cycle, with 16 days to go before I "O" again. The days just seem to be dragging on forever.....Then after that is the 2WW..it is a never ending waiting game this whole pregnancy thing!!! I have 2 friends who were both pregnant when I decided to try and both have just had m/c's within a week of each other, so now I am all panicky about that happening to me. I never thought of it before as I have been so lucky, but it is playing on my mind.....
I am just waiting for AF, as to have a boy we have been told to abstain as much as possible to give the boys sperm the best shot.....It is killing me, and my husband is going crazy.....17 days to go!

Hi and Welcome!
Long cycles do suck! But just think you are already blessed with 3 beautiful girls!
everything in life is a waiting game if you ask me, the more patient you are, the sooner it comes (well so it feels) I know it is hard some times, but stressing and getting angry and frustrated is only going to make it harder!
Good Luck, I hope your TTC journey is a short and that you will have your BFP really soon! Blue Baby Dust :babydust2: for you

Hi all
I ovulated last night so hubby and I have been busy. Now the 2ww starts....I am so nervous. I hope it works this time coz the pressure i am putting on myself is driving me crazy. I quit smoking too and I tell you what, I could really use one or 5 about now!!!! It seems my cycle is back on track, as I ovulated exactly when I should have, so its good to see that the implanon hasnt completely destroyed my cycles. My sister in law had her baby 2 days ago and I think I am now 100 times cluckier than I was before.....She had a boy, the most gorgeus baby boy I have seen (apart from my other nephew...not biased at all). He makes me want a boy even more now.

I read yesterday that if your partner drinks a cup of coffee about 30min before you BD, you have a pretty high chance of having a boy.

That's if you believe that stuff...

:fingerscrossed: it worked!

Salty diet with caffeine is supposed to help with boys, worked for me & DH.

Goodluck :)

Good luck! To conceive a boy, you want to have sex as close to ovulation or directly after ovulation as possible...boy swimmers swim faster and die sooner, but girls swimmers swim slower and last longer....sounds like you already know that tho! :)
