Hi everyone,

Firstly can I say thankyou to everyone who has posted information on MCN. I have just made the switch from disposables with my 18mth old and will be using these on my new bub due in a few weeks. I am soooo excited. Wished I had found out about these earlier.

Anyway, I am having a bit of trouble with my local daycare centre deciding on wether I can use the MCN while they attend the centre. They can't seem to give me an answer on what thier policy is and I am so desperate to stop using disposables all together. I have got GK and Bumgenius pockets which I will be sending the kids in so it should be nice and easy for them. I will even get some biodegradable liners for them to use if that makes it more acceptable for them. I will also provide a wet bag for storage of the dirty nappies. I can't see it being any different to a child toilet training and soiling their training pants and the staff having to send these home to the parents.

Has anyone else had difficulties with a daycare centre accepting MCN? This is one of the ABC centres so as a national company I thought they would be very open to the suggestion re: environmental concerns etc..

The centre that DS was attending used cloth nappies (they supply terry flats and wash them for us) so I have never had a problem. I don't understand why they have an issue, if you are suppling everything that is required then really it is no different to using sposies or as you said training pants.
