If we have a girl I would like to use Margaret as a middle name (my mothers middle name). Which of the following first names do you think go well?
Claire Margaret
Grace Margaret
Anna Margaret
or I could use Jill which is her first name but its hard to find a first name that goes with Jill, maybe
Jillian Grace
Any comments and suggestions would really help!

I like Claire Margaret. Anna Margaret may clash with Ashleighs first name.
I also like Zoe Margaret. Very cute name.
Good luck.

Eloise Margaret?
Margeret Rose?
I think Meggie really pretty maybe you could use this...as is a shortening of Margeret...and Jillie/Gilly is pretty too as a shortened version of Jillian...
If you choose a traditional name like you mums for middle maybe a less traditional one for 1st?

Johanna/Joanna Margaret
I like Clare Margaret, but I would drop the "i". Maybe even Clara Margaret?
Or
Elli Margaret
Victoria Margaret
Olivia Margaret
Lucy Margaret
My mums name is Marina Margaret. I used Marina as Jasmine's middle name.
My DD is Sienna Marguerite...which is also my middle name and my mums best friends first name, tho her friend had everyone call her Marg or Margaret. Just another alternative to using Margaret, might make it easier to find a first name that sounds 'right' :)

I definitely like the idea of altering Margaret to Marguerite - only because I have an issue with family names after being named after a person who died 25 days before I was born and subsequently, I spent my entire like hearing "oh isn't she like Leonie? She looks just like Leonie? I wonder if she is Leonie incarnate" etc. For the record I am nothing like her.
However, choosing Marguerite or even Maggie is still honouring the name (and the person) you are naming her after, while giving your daughter that little sense of self.
Just my 2c, no offence intended!! (just had 30 years of experience, and its STILL going!!)
