I'd like to hear from anyone thats used this to transport their stroller.

This is the one thing i hate about the bugaboo, that it doesnt fold into one part and you have to buy a mega expensive case to transport it.

How much does it weigh, with stroller?
Is the weight counted towards your baggage allowance weight?

Would i be better off to buy a cheap stroller and just use that for the journey?

If i buy another easy fold up stroller, will i be able to take that on the plane with me or do i have to check it in?

Btw i will be flying to Ireland.

As far as I know, most airlines don't count a pram as baggage allowance. I haven't taken my bugaboo internationally, but whenever I have flown domestically I just fold it down and wrap it in the plastic the airlines provide and to date (touch wood) it's been handled with great care and have no problems.

Mammy, I meant to say in my earlier post that you're better off looking up the airline's website to see their baggage allowances etc and the travelling with children section. As a rule, most of them prefer you to check in the strollers etc, and don't 'usually' (but could vary between airlines) allow you to carry them on board.

I think the bugaboos weigh 8kgs. I have bought a Quicksmart stroller that folds up into a backpack and have always had to 'check it in' even though it weighs very little and takes up little space.
