View Full Version : Best cloth nappies
I am a seasoned disposable user (I have been using safeties however, they are no longer available). However, I want to switch to cloth for my 13 month old daughter. I am looking fo a nappy (preferably an AIO) that is not overly bulky and easy to use out and about (two older children with a miriad of activities). There are so many on the market so, before buying up, I want to know which ones are considered to be the best.
Cheers

I would recomend Green Kids as they are OSFA and dry quickly and are very easy to use, the only thing is though they are velcro so would your bub try too take them off!

My only advice would be that what works for one bubs might not work for yours. In saying that though if your looking for a trim nappy you really cant go by Itti Bittis. They dry alot quicker than an AIO because they have the snap in boosters (AI2), and I can have my bubs in them for up to 4hrs while out and about running around for the older 2. Worth getting a couple to try

Itti bittis are great, as are sugar shots! There are so many wonderful mcn out there - good luck choosing!
Thanks girls. How many would I need do you think and what else is needed to go with them...ie inserts, boosters etc?
It depends - do you want to go all day with cloth and then use sposies at night? How often do you want to do the washing?
I think for an older child you can get by with 12 - 14 for daytime use (18 is better though) plus 4 for night.
I wouldn't get all the one brand, I'd get a few and try them out.
The ittis are great because they are trim and I think the easiest to transition from sposie to cloth. That is because they look and fit the most like a disposable and they dry fast.
But keep in mind some other good brands like Green Kids and Magicalls (Baby Beehinds). Maybe have a browse on these sites and look at some trial packs.
I would also get flushable liners so you can flick the poo into the loo and some wetbags for soiled nappies when you are out (cloth too).
I think I'll stick with disposables at night. I wash every day so that isn't an issue. Thanks for all the advice. I'll start browsing a few sites.

Itti Bitti's are my all time Fave- i have so many (probably too many) and really need to get rid of some but i cant bring myself to do it!
They are awesome and so divine!
I'd recommend bubblebubs for an AIO. They are awesome and really easy to put on just like a disposable. They don't need any inserts or boosters or covers.
