Blood Tests to check if you have O'd?

I have managed to get into my Dr for a visit as my ff charts are doing my head in. Problem is I was due to O any time from sat to yesterday.

How do the blood tests pick up if you have o'd? does it need to be within a certain amount of time of o'ing?? will an appointment next wednesday be too late?

normally the BT is a week after you think you have o'd. They measure your progesterone levels....

cool so i might just be on time for a bt. there is probably nothing wrong but with my up down temps I will obsess until I know I am o'ing for sure!!!!

Yes, they will do a blood test on cycle day 21 if you have a regular cycle.

I will be about 22 on the day of my docs test so hopefully it will be right!

They usually do it on day 21, however 7dpo is best. If you O on day 14, then that would be day 21, but if you O later than tha then you should have the test done later iykwim.
