I'm 25, been married to pete for 3 years and have a 10mth old DD Isabella who was born 17 June 05.

I had to go back to work Jan this year, and i miss the time apart dearly. She is crawling and pulls herself up letting go and just standing before falling down onto her bottom. She says mum, da, nan and cat.

If anyone would like to chat, get together pm or email me elizabeth.a.b@lizzy.com.au

Hi girls..

I am 'mum-mum' to Kaiden and he was born on 16/6/05.

He has 6 teeth so far. He started crawling at 5 months and now at 9.5 months, he walks about 6-7 steps at a time before he realises he can get places faster by crawling. Which is fine by me, I don't need him walking too soon  His first word was 'cheese' and he also says mum-mum and daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddddd....
He has a very big appetite and is a happy, healthy little boy :)

Hello :o
I'm Selina... I've introduced myself before... but not in this thread!

My little boy, Bodhi was born on 18/06/05... he is just cutting his 4th tooth... is toying with the idea of walking  and his favourite word is 'dadad' ... everyone is 'dadad' :D ...!
Bodhi's favourite book is called 'Fetch the Vet' and at the moment, his favourite toy is his 'Shape Sorter'... he can actually put the right shapes in the holes! Thats my clever boy ;) !

LOL ... Thought I should mention that I probably made Bodhi sound 'cleverer' than he is!! I just read what I posted... and Liss' comment...
I sit down with him and hold the thing towards him and he picks up the shapes and puts them in... doesn't do it right every time, but he's pretty good :o
...didn't want to falsely claim that I have a genius on my hands:laughing:

Hi, i am not new to Bub Hub but new to this section.
I have 2 girls Rosie who was born in June 05 and Arwen is Feb 04.
Rosie is a crawling baby possessed, everywhere we sometimes lose her. No teeth as of yet, but wish they would just get here.

So, hello to all..

Ha ha - Bodhi is cleverer than me - thats for sure. I just reread my thread and I typed that the girls couldn't crawl!! Like hello! They are trying to walk - they CAN actually crawl!

Lis my girls teethed for months before they got theres too. Its hard. But if its not teeth its something else anyway so it may as well be teeth :banghead:

Hope you all having a good week.

Liss

Liss tell me about it... she's pulling her self up and letting go and falling...

it's never ending with little ones...

and how are you with having two.... at least they have eachother to play with...

are you a sahm?

Liz

I am a sahm. I met a really lovely guy before the twins were born, their daddy left us when he found out i was having twins but it was for the best anyway. My new (not so new anymore, lol) man loves them like his own and we are ttcing one together now and he supports us all. Its hard on one income and we often have to struggle to make the ends meet but we get there.

You know people sometimes give you bad looks for having kids when you are young (I look younger than I am too) but I dont care.

What about you Liz? Are you at home? Have those teeth come through yet, lol?

I dont know how you cope with 2, MJ wears me out :p

I'm in so much shock that she's almost 1. She changes daily. Started stacking blocks on the weekend, & yesterday started saying Doggie & Duck. Also says Mumma, Daddy, Bubba, Gone & Ta. BUT I still cant get her to clap

So how are you all going with feeding, anone still bf like me? Do your bubs feed themselves, you feed or finger foods?

MJ tries to help us use the spoon, & also eats finger food alot. Though I still prefer to feed her so i know she eats it.

Take care ladies, soon our bubs will be toddlers

Liss that is great that he is like that.... and you'd be alot happier too hey!!!

No they haven't come through yet, but there's alot of whiteness showing on those gums so just have to wait till they ready...

I work full time, i find it so hard though, as i miss her so much and all the new things that she does. But i had 6 months off when i had her and we were just scraping through also so i had to go back to work....

She's had a few falls and hit her head at daycare cause she trying to walk..

I still feed bella, she does eat finger food though and loves to help mummy with the spoon, we have it everywhere....

Liss where bouts u living????

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!

This morning I was trying to get K organised for the day and as I packed his bag (going out later), I was out of the room for less than 2 minutes and when I came back, I found him in the loo  He had rip the toilet freshner thingy off and had it all over his clothes, mouth  , hands - it was everywhere!!!!!!! He had both hands down the toilet :barf: and his feet off the ground  so if you can imagine him almost head first down the dunny!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the record, the toilet seat was down and the lock on. The toilet door was closed, but its a sliding door and he can, so I've discovered this morning, open it....................He still smells like detergent an hour later...

To answer Donelle's questions... Bodhi is still breastfed... although only out of one boob  doesn't like the left... so I'm sure you can imagine how sexy my boobs are looking, lopsided and all! :D
He also eats a lot of solids! I usually feed him the first part of his meal, and let him feed himself the second part...eg - for lunch he might have mashed avocado or yoghurt that I spoon feed him... then he has sandwhiches and fruit that he feeds himself!
He loves to feed himself! And I just love cleaning up afterwards

Just found this thread and thought I would introduce myself, even though I've been around a little while...

I'm married with a nearly 11 month old son Jack... He is on the verge of walking but not quite there yet... The has the Fisher Price Gobble and Go Hippo that he walks behind, and absolutely loves it... Its scary how quickly he has grown...

Jack plays peek-a-boo, claps his hands (well kind of), waves bye (most of the time)... He loves saying dada - its the word I hear for most of the day, and then when he gets upset its mama... Also says Baba, duck and I think he is saying Jack (in his own special way)...

As for feeding, he is on 2 breastfeeds (morning and night), formula during the day and 3 solid feeds a day... He absolutely loves his food... Nothing he wont eat... Only recently did he start of formula because I am going back to work in a couple of week, and I didn't want him to go all day without a milk feed... I love breastfeeding him, but I'm not sure how much longer I will do it... I haven't really set myself a timeframe but thought 12 months is a good goal...

Also he has 7 teeth, 3 top and 4 bottom, so he has quite a mouthfull...

Anyway, I think thats enough from me :ecomcity:

Hi Jacksmum, welcome.... he sounds like very clever boy...

Isabella started playing peek a boo yesterday by herself.... they just change every day....

she is so fussy though with her food, i dont know if its just because she lactose intolerant or what but im finding it so hard to get her to eat and drink....

and now i think she got asthma, the dr keeps saying it a chest infection but it's in the family and you just know the difference...

well have a good day everyone, gotta get going and organise for the day
