Hi ladies i know there are a few other threads on modeling but i have been approached by bettina modeling managment after going to the sydney parents expo. they have asked me to come in for an interview with my daughter. Are they any good or is it all a scam? has anyone signed up with them? wot are the costs? any feedback would be great as it is a fair way for me to travel so i wanna know weither it is worth going or not.

I am not a hundred per cent sure but I think it is a scam, I would be wary before parting with any money. I think this a common tactic with some agencies to get you in. A good agency should never ask for money up front they should only take commission for the jobs they find you. I personally think it is very tough to make it in child modelling.

I wouldn't sign with any agency that wants money - if they think they can get work for your child - they should be happy with the commission - and shouldn't expect more than that...

- you could go to the interview... just dont take your cheque book or credit card with you... that way you CANT be talked into parting with money :)

Hi The same thing happened to me with Bettina in Melbourne. First they rang me to say my little boy had been picked as runner up then when i came in with baby and all they said that they required money for photo shoots etc. I was not impressed because when they originally rang me on the phone i checked what was involved and they said nothing about money. If i had of known i wouldn't have bothered travelling all the way into the city to see them. After they told me that money was required i said that if they wanted him for photo shoots they could deduct the money after his first job. Of course there was no response or photo shoots or job. Also i recall that the money they ask for is a yearly fee.

My opinion don't waste your money.
