My first Bub was 10ibs 9oz, second was 7ibs 9oz....so I blow the saying babies get bigger 2nd time round
DD was 3.185kg which I think is pretty much 7lbs and was 51cm long..
I cant even remember her being that small :)
DS was 8 pound 5 and just under 49cms long... :fingerscrossed: this one will be about the same size

1st - son was 9lb 6oz - 17hours, forceps delivery
2nd - son 9lb 10oz - 5 1/2 hours, natural, no drugs (not by choice)
3rd - daughter - 10lb 6 oz - 2 1/2 hours, natural, no drugs (no time!)
All were overdue , 2 weeks (not heard of much these days but he was a New Years Eve baby, no doctor available over Xmas), 4 days, 6 days.
Doesn't matter how big or small, they all hurt coming out!!! :eek:
Hi, my baby girl was 15 days early and she weighed 10lb 1oz and was 55cm long. :) She was born by elective c/s as there was no way I could have had her naturally.

My mum had all larger babies..... hoping I am not the same. I was 9 lb 6, then my brother Robert was 8lb 7, then my sister Sharnae was 8 lb 6, then my sister Ainsley was 10 lb 11 and the last my brother Rory was 9 lb 8. They were all vaginal births too.
I am hoping I am not the same!!! My mum had borderline gestational diabetes so I have been watching my sugar so hopefully that helps in my quest not to have such big babies!!!:thumbsup:

My baby son was born six months ago, 10lb 11oz, natural delivery with forceps. Not sure whether I can do that again! No diabetes just a big baby...

DD was 9lbs 1oz, 53cms long, head circ 35cms. She 10days over. 8hr labour from whn they broke my waters. No drugs (1 puff of gas and :barf: ) foot tapping worked a treat though:laughing: Had a cut and had a few stitches but was a really good labour. (Wasn't till after that the worst started:banghead: )
All the bubs on my side were pretty little (I was the biggest at 7lbs 11oz), but my DF was 10bls something his brother was 12lbs :eek:

Kaiden was 7pd 3, 49 1/2 cm ( 37 weeks)

Maye was 5lb 3oz (2350g) born 11 days early by emergency c/s cos she was breech and thought she would come early! Seems like she was one of the smallest ones... All doesn't matter so long as they are healthy! :thumbsup:

I was looking at both my Dd's baby records
and there weight was Dd1
Birth weight 3090g
3.39kg, which is 7.5 pounds length -48.2cms, head circumference 34.cms.
Total length of Labour 8 hours and 3 mins .
Dd2
Birth weight 3390g 3.09kg, which is 6.8 pounds length-50cms, head circumference 35cms
C-section due to being Breech
I had to get some help from razzle as I had no idea how to convert baby weight .
I wonder how much Willow will be
I'm sure he has very BIG feet as I can feel them kicking my ribs lol .

Chloe was almost two weeks late. She weighed 7'13 pounds, and her body length was 49.5cm.
My son was 3.955kgs(think about 8pound 12). His length was 51cm and his head was 38cm. Im only 5ft so he was pretty big for me.

Our DS was born 6 weeks early, and was a tiny 1.6kgs....44cm long.....
He is now 15 months (13 1/2 corrected) and weighs 10 kgs....happy and healthy.:)

hehe....she is just adoreable. My DD was 8lb 3oz and looked like a doll too. She even had porceline (??sp) white hands.

We were always told he was measuring big but no one expected this. Was in labour for about 6 hours. Kept telling them the presure was too much and I need to push. After a while his heart rate dropped from 146 to 40 so straight to emergency c section for me.

my not so little boy was 10.7 pounds!! needless to say i was very thankful for a ceasarian. i am only 155cm tall and 60kg so it was a huge shock seeing number 1 (girl) was only 7.3pounds. i went 4 days over and had to be induced but did manage to go into labour a bit by myself first. i only put on 10kg with the pregnancy (first was 17kg) and ate like a horse and lost 14 kilos in 3 months after bub just from his weight and breastfeeding him. he is now a normal size at 14 months.

The midwives told us she would be close to 10lb cause i got so big so quick so we were pretty shocked with 2990kg or 6lb 9oz 49cm long

new mum on the block, thought this wld be an easier one to join in.
My son Matty was 9lbs 8oz and my
girl Jules was 10lbs 7oz,:eek: (but you wldn't believe it if u saw her see's really petite at 3). Both pushed out, hardest workout i've ever had.

My Eloise was exactly the same as Razzle's Eloise 8lb 2oz (3.69kg) and 51cm. Lara was 9lb 2oz (4.15kg) and 52cm. I'm a bit scared at the thought of going back for #3 :eek:

My lucky number has always been 7. But was still a little suprised when i had my babies.

They were both born at 37 weeks.

Corey was born 30th Aug 02 - was 3.500 kgs or 7lbs 11ozs - he was also 9 days overbaked
My twinnies were born on 4th July 2006 @ 37 wks gestation
Ethan was 2.920 kgs or 6lbs 7ozs

DS was induced at 12 days 'overdue' (how I hate that term now) and will never agree to induction again! He was almost 4.7 kg (10 lb 1 oz and a bit) born completely drug free, 12 hours after waters were broken. It was a great birth, despite it being in hospital (won't be birthing in one of those again either.) Some tearing but that was more due to the position he was in (born with his arm beside his head) and the positions I was coached into. They should have just left me alone in the bath where I was labouring beautifully!

But my friend just had her 3rd 3wks (1st dec) ago here we go........
DD1 10lb (overdue induced natural)
DD2 11lb 58cm length, head 38cm(overdue induced natural)
DS1 11lb 58cm length, 38cm head (2 days early induced for natural but had emergency c section).
Now thats big babies.

My DS#1 was 10 days overdue (although last time i checked womb's didn't have calendars:confused: ) Anyway an induced vaginal birth weighing 8lb 12oz.
My DS#2 was 3 weeks early, spontaneous vaginal birth 8lb 02oz.
The second birth, was soo much more painful.

I think he has 2 others on here who were bigger than him????
To top it off ... he is now nearly 4 and is only 17kg! Goes to show, there is no telling how big they will be from thier birthweight!

Yes to gestational diabetes requiring insulin, but it only presented at 30 weeks, was very well controlled and he was born at 36 weeks so not a heap of time for it to effect him!
I had GD with my dd, presented at 23 weeks, totally uncontrolled (despite insulin) and she was only 8lb 7oz at 37 weeks ... go figure????
Yes to c/section ... they wouldn't let me try natural - thank goodness!
The other bubs bigger than ds were naturals though, I think ...

Lordy help me if I get GD with this one. I didn't have it and my other boys were 11lb and 10lb 2.....both vaginal births too.

Hi all... first time poster, long time sufferer! My dw signed me up a while ago, so I thought I'd better say something finally... Sar had a 6 pound Mitch, and it must've hurt heaps - We'd done the gas, and I was considering an epidural, but then I would'nt have been able to watch his first bath, or walk outside to make a few phone calls!
My DD was 9 pound 9 and 53cm at 13 days over and my DS was 10 pound 6 and 55cm at 2 days early both were c-sections, with the second one planned.

I started going into labour the day Jackson was due and had him the day after.
He was born 7 pound 15 (3600 grams) and was 51 cm long.
Last time we had him weighed he was 12 pound 13. He was 59.3 cm long.
I am due to go to the health centre today so I will see how much he has grown since just before xmas.

I'm a bit scared tho as I am only 5 ft 2 & I can just imagine trying to tell him he is not staying out all hours of the night in his early teens with him towering over me!!! LOL

He is now just over 3 1/2 & is 104cms tall & about 18kgs. most ppl think he is 5 especially as he delights in telling ppl he is 5! I know how you feel, I'm 5'3"! My ds is nearly 4, 107cm tall and 17kg - he also speaks like a school child and counts to 100, does simple maths and recognises most of his letters - people usually ask me if he is going into year one this year and ask how well he did in kindergarten:eek: They are usually pretty shocked when they find out he's not quite 4 yet and has to wait another year before he can start school!
I also get asked if he and my dd (nearly 6) are twins! She is 112cm and 17kg, so there is not much between them!

Emma was 8lb 7oz. Born 11 days over.
Isabelle was 8lb 9oz. Born 6 days over.
I was expecting them to be bigger because big babies run in our family - my Mum was 11lb something and my Nana had a natural labour with no pain relief - OUCH!!
Oh gotta add DD in - She was 7 pounds 8 oz (3.4kg).

DD 14 days early 4.260kg (9lb 6.5oz). I was induced with DD because she was so big.
Both vag births with plenty of stiches however labour was only 1.5hrs with DD with no drugs at all. Loved it....would do it all again.

Raza was 4.64kg (approx 10Ilbs), and 53.5cm in length! He was delivered via emergency c section after trying normal labour and diluting to 5cm due to the fact he was posterior and big. It was a rough experience!!

At 7 months he weighed 10.2 kg and 58cm long. He just grew and grew and grew very fast. I think his weight is starting to slow down now though.

Hi Boston my first was 9lb 9.5oz and my second Deacon was exactly 9lb. Boston was an emergency c-section cause he was stuck and Deacon was an elective c-section.

My son was born a week before his due date and he weighed 2.5kgs
My dd was born a day before her due date and weighed 2.7kgs
My Kai was 3340 grams or 7pd 6 oz and 51cm, induced at just under 39 weeks because of gestational diabetes

Sarah was 1960 grams ( 4 1/2 pounds), 46.5 long and born at 35 weeks 1 day by emergency c-section
Grace was born 10 minutes before her due date - so pretty much on time - and weighed in at 8lbs 14oz (4.04kgs) and 54cms long. A good healthy size - so I was told!
