There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to the milestones of our little ones. The variation is immense.
I was under the impression that they'll get up and walk when they damn well please and not a moment before:)
My DS walked at 10 months ... my daughter at nearly 14 months.
15 months is nothing to worry about (unless your intuition tells you there is something physically wrong in which case talk to your doctor). My son used to go to daycare with a little girl who would proudly contemplate the world from her backside. One day she got up and walked - from memory at around 19 months.
Look at the bright side - at least you don't have to run after him:D .

Mum said she couldnt keep me down by about 10 months, but I know other people who's kids are still very much babies at 15 months.... If he is up walking around holding your hand, and pushing things around....it might just be he needs a little more time to build up his confidence? :)

My oldest ds was walking at 9 months, but my 14.5 month old son isn't walking yet. He takes a few steps and can walk across the room but he doesn't do it all that often. My aunties friend's little girl didn't walk until she was 18 months. I agree unless you think there is something wrong i wouldn't worry about it he'll get there when he's ready!!!

My DS was walking around hanging onto the furniture at 9 months but didn't walk by himself until he was 15 months old.
By the looks of what some of the other mums have said it appears quite normal so I wouldn't worry too much about it. He's probably lazy like my DS was.
