Anyone got any cute/easy/inexpensive nursery decoration ideas? I know it's early but I'm on holidays from work (I'm a teacher, yes I know we get heaps of holidays and only work 9-3:30 blah blah blah! It isn't true by the way!) so I'm trying to get everything done over my break.

We're going for a tan/beige/latte sort of colour theme since we don't know what we're having. Our cot and change table/chest of drawers were delivered on sat and I'm starting to sort that stuff out too. I've found it hard to find cot sheets that are these colours so I'm going to make some.

I'm also being a bit pedantic and putting a disney ban on our nursery...am I being mean? As I said, I know it's early, but I like to be organised! I'll also be MASSIVE by the time the next holidays come around and have reports etc to write this term!

Any ideas would be great!

Hi, I love doing up baby's room:yelclap: I found this website that has gorgeous removeable wall decals, and the unisex ones are very cute too. There are giraffe's, elephants, curcus tent, and teddy's. You can also add your bubba's name once he/she is born. I know you said inexpensive, but its worth having a look anyway. Let me know what you think ....

Really cute stuff! I love the stars especially (very unisex)! Another good website is www.babyology.com.au (http://www.babyology.com.au). It's not just nursery stuff, but all things baby. Def not what I would call inexpensive, but good for inspiration!

Ta - I've been looking for shelves!

DH and I went to buy paint for the nursery today...we were planning on buying gorgeous metallic paint for a feature wall. Just as the woman was about to mix it she mentioned the price...$169 for 4 litres!!!!!! Decided against that one and got the suede effect (much cheaper at $77 for 4 litres, we plan to paint over a horrifying purple wall in our living area too).

I also went looking for fabric to make cot sheets and there's NOTHING except boring and really dated baby prints, I was after something a little more contemporary. Anyway decided that I'd just buy plain ones and do the room up in other ways...blankets, etc. Wish me luck!
