my ds is 17.5months old and only has 2 bottles a day of full cream milk.. (no formula) now what i want to know is..

Is he getting enough from 200mls per bottle.?
He hasnt slept through even when he was formula fed. im just wondering wether it would be better for him if i increased it.. if he needs to be more full to sleep during the night??

He eats 3 meals a day no fuss and has water from a sippy cup. and biscuits and fruit bites as snacks when he wants so its not like hes not getting enough..

any help would be greatful.

My kids were milk machines and have around 600-800ml a day plus other dairy like cheese yoghurt ect. They loved their milk. DD3 still has 4 cups a day. (150ml cups)

If you think he needs filling up it wont hurt to give him more :) if he doesnt drink it then he doesnt want it.

Our DS2 who has just turned 2 has 3 bottles a day at 250ml each:) He doesnt like cheese and only eats small amounts of yoghurt so we still give him the milk. Its good for them and yes it will help fill him up more:yes:I think the recommended amount of milk is 500-600ml per day minimum or other milk products like cheese, yoghurt etc to make it up if hes not drinking that amount of milk. eg 400ml of milk plus a yoghurt and 2 slices of cheese

My DS is 16 months old and has two bottles of 200ml each (though sometimes drinks just 140ml of the first one). It sounds like your bub is eating and drinking well during the day. Sleep issues at this age are rarely related to being hungry at night apparently. It might be useful to take a look at how your DS is settled back to sleep during the night. Do you settle with a bottle or rock perhaps? That's what I did until my DS turned one. I just stopped cold turkey, did CC for 3 nights and haven't looked back since.
