Is it ok to freeze meat in ziplock bags, and then once you use that meat, wash the bag and ru-use it?

Hmmmmm... I personally haven't.
Just because raw meat is a bit of a risk, and I'm not sure I would clean it well enough... but I do reuse those zip-lock bags for other things.

I reuse them for heaps of things, pizza dough, meatball mix, cookie dough sometimes, pasta sauce even, because we don't have tupperware.
As long as you clean them really well I don't see why there is a problem. :)
ETA- I only reuse them for the same thing each time, like if I put meatballs in them to start with then I only use that bag for meatball mix.

I am the same, not for meat but i will reuse them if they have had something dry in them like flour or bisquits etc
I wouldnt only as you can contaminate other food particulary with meat
I think that's a great idea-
if you wash them in warm soapy water as you would a plate you'd put raw meat on I can't see what the problem would be :)
I will be doing this myself from now on- thanks!

I probably wouldn't reuse it once it's had meat in it, but with anything else I do. I make biscuit dough and make 3 times the mix and whatever isn't used that day is split up in a few of those bags. They seal tight so are ideal and I reuse them after it's finished. Also reuse the ones used for sandwiches and snacks when we're out and about. Don't think I would with meat though.

Thanks ladies - I already use (and re-use!) them for most other foodstuffs, but wasn't sure about the meat side.

I re-use the zip lock bags for all types of foods.
I just make it a habit of washing them in warm soapy water......let them dry........wash them again just to be safe :)
