We have an aldi going in near us and was just wondering if they stock everything you need for a weekly shop or do you have to buy fruit and veg etc elsewhere?.

ALDI is fantastic for a weekly shop. The one near me has fruit, veg, meat, milk, bread, and dry grocery items too. You will be very please with the price, I know I was. The only things I need to go to Woolies for are specialty items, and Whiskas because my kitty does not like the Silvester brand dry cat biscuits.

I didn't think Aldi has enough variety. They as an example have perhaps one brand or 2 of a paticular item!

They as an example have perhaps one brand or 2 of a paticular item!that's right Oscar's mum but most of the products they do sell we have tried and we find nothing wrong with them. You can save heaps on things like toilet rolls, kitchen paper towels, foil, cling wrap, nappies, baby wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, cleaning products etc which if you bought the equivalent of even just those items I've listed at Aldi instead of Coles/Woolies you would of saved close to $20-$30. The nappies I buy there are X-large pkt 44 which cost $16.99 now to buy say Huggies at Coles/Woolies you'd probably pay twice that much and the Aldi brand I find just as good.

I am a regular Aldi Shopper....we normally go there first to do the shopping and whatever we cant get there we get somewhere else (which is not much, apart from catfood as Darkstar mentioned)
. It IS amazing just HOW much you can save on your weekly grocery bills. It all depends also what day you go, with Aldi Wednesday's is the best day cause they have delivery that day.
We also use the Aldi Nappies and can only recommend them, great price for value and just as good as the Huggies / Babylove

We also buy our Meat there and Fruit and Veggies.
You will also find that their prices always stay the same
