could someone recomend a site where i could find the info.. google doesnt help me most of the time.. google confuses me :(
I think I know what you are asking.....if you miss the newborn shot, will the 2, 4 and 6 month shots make your baby "immune" to Hep B.
Many people choose not to have the newborn hot.....considering how Hep B is spread - needle use, unsafe sex etc. - it's unlikely that a newborn would contract it.
I know in adults, they give 3 shots and then consider them immune, so I'm not sure what the newborn one is about.
There are some great discussions right here on Bubhub regarding Hep B - quite recently too. Have a search around. It's well worth informing yourself IMO:)
Here's a good one.

Yes, your immunisations are considered "up to date" even if you only do the 2, 4 and 6 month shots.

thats what i thought.. why would u give a newborn a shot if u only need 3 doses to become immune.. anyways thank you..
so it doesnt matter when they get the 3 doses. just that they need 3 doeses to become immune.. am i wording this right?
thank you for that link Harriet
thats the reason i was asking to make sure i was reading correct. (so im assuming the heb b is its own needle?)
That's right, the Hep B is a single injection ie not combined with others. I think the doses are meant to be fairly close together to give immunity. I mean, I don't think you could have them over 3 years or anything.
But hey! I don't give my boy Hep B or any other vax and I'm still skeptical about whether they even work as they're said to:)
Good on you for getting informed....smart move,
