Sounds like it, can you get to your gp? Best to get looked at now, try make sure bubs drinks from it to draw it out (even let hubby have a go)

Fingers crossed its not but best to get onto it sooner rather than later

Hope your ok xx

well you see, i called the hospital, and they said it doesnt sound like it. but im worried cos i have been feeling sicker and sicker.
the breast is quite tender on the underneath. hurts to touch, or be bumped, but it doesnt feel huge or lumpy or anything, and Aali seems to be feeding well from it. so i dunno. is it possible it could just be muscle?

I found when ever i got it i had a pain like a shooting pain in my boob then i started to feel really ikky, like i was getting a flu or something and i ached as well, it gradually got worse then all of a sudden i got this huge big red patch on my boob and realised what it was. Everyones different though and sometimes the lump isnt really noticable till it hits you. It does sound like it, does it feel like the pain drawing out, when you feed her from it? Is there any doctors near you that you can go get checked out at? that last thing you want is full blown mastitis thats all and being a long weekend not a good time to have it.

I would still try get to see one if you can or maybe even ring maternity where you had her and they might see you? they saw me and it saved a trip to the ED and waiting all day.
Heres a few things that might help, where the pain is try get bubs nose or their chin in line with it (either works well for me it does) massage it out as bubs feeds, hot shower expressing and massaging it out, hot face washer on there why feeding can help too. DH can help too if he would. Whenever i get it though i always offer the infected side first when bubs has a feed and let her finish on the other side, only as them feeding and their first initial sucks really seem to draw it out. Just make sure she still feeds from the other side so you dont get a double whammy.

Ring your hospital though where you had her hopefully they might be able to see you and as they know bubs is still little they will know how hard it is sitting waiitng in ED for ten hours so they may let you come up there or something.

Theres a few other things you can do but thats all that i can really think off at the top of my head, just try push the soreness out of the nipple if that makes sense when bubs drinks or when you express in the shower. the last thing you want is an abcess Hope you feel better :hugs:
