Hi ladies

I have chosen for this baby not to have a EDD just a EDM (November). I was just wondering how ppl went with booking into hospital and Ob (I don't want as many check-ups ect. either) I am sure that my last Ob won't care abit but am not sure how the midwifes will go at the hospital (Galliers Private Wing, Armadale Hospital in Perth). Has anyone booked into a private hospy with no exact EDD before? and what was your experience like?

I have been given an EDD, but I know it is wrong, and I know that babies don't always come on that day. So I'm just ignoring it and telling people I'm having a baby in September.

Are you having a homebirth?

When I booked into the hospital, they insisted on figuring out my EDD by my LMP, however I knew that it wasn't correct, so gave my ovulation date and conception date also (which turned out to be SPOT ON, lol). Anyway, you could always give it a week or so later, so that there are less issues if you go 'over'. If you go earlier, just tell them what the real date is.

Sorry I realised that I posted this in the homebirth section, I really want a homebirth but I can understand my DF wants to go back to the hospy we had DS in, I dont mind I just want to give birth naturally and have a pregnancy with very little interferance.

Can I have a free birth in hospy?

I'd just tell them I can't remember when my last period was and refuse all dating scans.

There's nothing they can do about it ;)
