Just wondering what foods you started bubs on? Fruit Veg and meat? Also did you give water in sippy cups after food?
And what time of day did you give solids?
I have no idea of where to start!

If you google starting solids you can get some really good advice- more than anything I hgihly reccomend doing AS MUCH research as possible, and don't just jump into any foods until you are sure they are ok.
But as to what to start with- rice cereal and very bland pureed fruits such as pear or apple is best to start with, something very gentle on bubs digestive tract. Don't start meat till later on. Also pumpkin is good, but potato can be very starchy and hard to digest. And WHO reccomends starting solids at 6mnths- not earlier.
Usually start with breakfast, and once they are used to that introduce some dinner. Give water in sippy cup is good.

I started at 6 months, giving rice cereal and EBM at 11am after a BF.
After about a week I added in sweet potato to the rice cereal and EBM.
Just start with rice cereal and EBM or formula or one of the less allergenic vegies like sweet potato or pumpkin or you can try pear. (although I did savoury before sweet).
Best to start mid morning so if a reaction pops up you can take bubs to the doc.
Add a new veg or fruit every 4 days, and meat not until at least 7 months once you have lots of veg and some fruits introduced. When I did intro meat, I started with chicken and then white fish.
Other veg and fruit to intro in the first few months include carrot, avocado, apple, banana.
Things to leave for a bit (a month or two) potato, tomato, windy veg (e.g. broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage), yoghurt, cheese.

I started on rice ceral too! I added it with breastmilk and I gave it to bubs AFTER a feed so they didn't need a drink anyways.
I didn't start adding things to it until around 7-8 months, I think it's best to start on puree first.

I always started mine on pears it seemed to be easier on their tummies :) and i tended to stick to the main sorts of food groups like pears, apple, potato, pumpkin etc. My girls were around 9-10 months when they had their first taste, they werent that interested in it, ds was younger though, i am not sure if its because he was FF though but he wanted it so he got it :)
As foods only really experimental under 12 months just go slow, if bubs isnt interested then leave it be and try again in a few weeks time.
I used to give it to mine around lunchtime at first, just this way it was the middle of the day and if there were any allergies they would have hit at daytime not at midnite :) I never really did the rice cereal thing though i just think its a little harsh on their little tummies so stuck with pear first :) (thats JMO though)

Lil'Muggos I specialised in this area in my studies and am in the process of writing an information sheet regarding introducing solids after being approached by one of the local antenatal classes. If you'd like my opinion and what I would suggest please PM me. It may take up a little too much room posting it here.

I started on rice cereal too after first bottle in morning. Then slowly added some pear, apple, sweet potato, pumpkin every 3-4 days for a change.
Just watch banana it can constipate them!!!
Also encourage your littleone to drink some water out of a sippa cup, I found the avent one to be good.
Good luck with it all it can be daunting at first, hope all goes well :flowerz:
