hello ladies is it normal to still get a faint line at 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant or should it be getting darker thanks

Well at 4 weeks 2 days that would mean it's only 2 days after your period was due, so yes I think the line would/could still be faint then (many people haven't even tested by then). It varies from person to person, I know people who had negative results up until they were 2 weeks late (so 6 weeks pregnant), and one person who did not get a positive result on a HPT until she was 4 months (by then she had had it confirmed by the doctor).

I think a +ve is a +ve no matter how faint and it's very variable as to how dark it is/goes.

With DD I tested day AF was due and the line was very very very faint..... some people are PG and dont get a positive for weeks after.

I tested 2 days before AF was due and then 2 days after it was due and the lines were the same, slightly faint.

As the HCG levels go up they can get slightly darker, sometimes not though. Pregnancy tests only confirm you are pregnant or not, not how pregnant you are or how far along you are.

I didn't get any results until I was 7 weeks with DS#1
