Sorry but what a joke.
I just found out my ex has to pay 13 dollars a FN child support (he is getting 250 a FN).
BUT
My dad, who gets 500 a FN pays 5 dollars a MO for 3 children to my mum
Why would my ex have to pay more?
(he also gets 1k a day behind CL's back)
DOESNT ADD UP NOW DOES IT.
Unfortunately some men are scum aye!
My ex surprised me and came out to ATO how much he was earning and I think we are going to be gettin about 46 a week not sure... He wants to give more then that though so that is great!

That is great, he should do a "back-payment" kind of thing to!! :p
There are heaps of reasons why it could be different, be it care arrangements, if your mum earns over a certain amount, whether he has other children, the ages of the kids, etc.....
Every case is different, so not really comparable....

Your dad is probably still on the old payment system where if he is earning the minimum wage - he only has to pay the minimum amount for all children in total ... ie: $5 for all three.
If this is the case, your mum will probably receive a new assessment in the next couple of months.
The new system which is coming into play this year makes parents pay the minimum amount for each child regardless... so he will be paying $15 a fortnight instead of $5.
Its a pretty dodgy system.. I just got my new assessment and its a whole $333 a year..$27.72 a month - party time.
Funny how he has been in arrears for 9 years and he still only has to pay the damned minimum.
(hes getting cash in hand as well but nothing i can do about it)
