Implantation bleed???

OK, so we have been TTC for about 4 months, and I got my period 3 days ago, which was 3 days earlier than expected (it should have been due today). It started with a bang (sorry if it's TMI), like I was pegging clothes on the line and suddenly felt a rush... got to the bathroom and there was even a clot there (sorry but I need to know what this means!)

anyway that was basically it! For the next 3 days (until today) I bled REALLY lightly, and then it kind of stopped, so I thought I'd just do a test to make sure I wasn't pregnant, and got a :bfp: but very faint. So now I'm wondering if it was an implantation bleed? It was kind of heavy though when it started (but only for about 2 minutes), and although I had an implantation bleed with the last pregnancy it was only a few spots...

Anyone with any experience with this? I don't want to get my hopes up...

Hi, This happened to me as well, but unfortunatley for me it was the sign of an early m/c....I spotted for about 2 weeks at first after the clot then it got heavy.

This was only my experience..and may mean something completly different for you..I will keep my :fingerscrossed: for you.......

I had thought of that too...

Did you find out you were pregnant before the bleeding started or were you like me and the bleeding was the first sign of anything, ie even before your period was due?

Because for me the bleeding started a good 3 days before my period was due, so I just thought it was an early period (although I don't usually have them). And now the bleeding has stopped completely.

At the time I was obsessive about dates .lol....I had done an early pregnancy test 5 days before my period was due and had got a :bfp: result and then I got the blood clot the day before my period was due.......I m/c at eight weeks officially...but I was bleeding pretty much from what would have been 5 weeks, lightly at first then it got heavy....

OK... so it seems you had already implanted before the bleeding started then. My bleeding on the other hand has started and stopped before I did a test and before my period was due (sorry I am not trying to compare just trying to work out what might be going on) so that makes me think maybe mine was an implantation bleed...but why was it so heavy?? Gee I hate all this waiting!

Hopefully someone comes along who has had exactly the same thing as me!

Had some VERY light spotting today, nothing significant... still don't know what to think.

Did another HPT which was +ve...

Anyone else with any info/experience??

I wish i had an answer for you, but i am going through the same thing.
Hubby and i have been trying for nine years and 4 days ago i saw light pink blood on the toilet paper. It was 10 days after my periods.
I did a preg test the day i saw it, but it came up neg. After some searching all over the net i found that it would have anyway as the HCG (or what ever it is) wouldn't have been present till 7-10 days after that bleed.
The wait to do another test is killing me! And any web site i goes to basically says the same thing..that the blood was an implantation bleed and anyone that had it never confirmed if they were pregnant.
So i am with you mumofKieran, i will latch onto any info!

Dont know if this will help but I had cramping when my AF was due and thought it was comeing the next day i had spotting it lasted a few days I did at test it was NEG then a week later i did another it was :bfp: but very faint! Went to Docs and did bloodtest and was Preggas! Looking back i think it was an Implantation bleed.
A year later and im experiencing the same thing, just waiting to soo if it turns into AF or not! Dont mind if it is AF as i wanted to wait for next bubs untill DS is One year. But if im preggas again then GREAT!

I had two days of implantation bleeding about 10dpo, with cramping and a very, very faint positive hcg. It wasn't heavy, but wasn't spotting either. The very, very faint positive continued for 4 days until a convincing one on day 14. So far, so good. I was surprised how much cramping there was, was convinced it wasn't going to stick. Good luck.

Well there's been no more bleeding, not even spotting, and I am 5 1/2 weeks now. I just feel so insecure about it as I know implantation bleeding can be normal but mine was so heavy at first. I did another test on the weekend and it was a darker positive than the first 2 tests I did, so that's a good sign I think. I will see the doctor next week, perhaps she might suggest a blood test to see if hCG is rising but I am in 2 minds about this as there's nothing I can do anyway. I would love to know everything's normal though!

I am feeling much more positive however since I did that last pregnancy test :fingerscrossed:

i had an implantation bleed when i was about six weeks pregnant i **** my self when i felt something between my legs abd discovered it was blood i went to the hospital and after waiting four hours to see doctor told me to take it easy as my cervix was still closed which is a good sign had to come back the next day for a scan which indicted blood around the foetus for my pregnancy i had few more scans to keep an eye on things which went find my son is now a happy and healthy two and a half year old hope everything works out as well as mine did

That must have been awful, glad it all worked out in the end. Well I am off to the doctor next week so will see what's going on.
