I'm 34 weeks pregnant and had to get a scan this morning as I've had a low lying placenta.
The good news is that the placenta has moved out of the way and baby's head is down ready to go.:smiliedance:
But the scan picked up that my baby has a small stomach and I have to have another scan in 2 weeks time to check if it's growing.
I didn't really understand what it all meant. The Dr said he wasn't too worried at this stage. Everything else appears fine like blood flow, movement etc..
I really don't want to google this. Has anyone else been through this and what was your outcome?

I haven't been through this but I know someone who had a similar thing - her baby's kidneys were measured as large and she had to have repeat scans etc and then tests after he was born, and everything was completely normal.
I sometimes wonder how accurate the measurements given by an ultrasound really are. When I was 40 weeks, I had a scan which measured the baby as being very small, with a very small head (he was measured as being the average size of a 36 week foetus). When he was born, he was 8 lb 4 oz and had a head circumference of 35.5cm. So he wasn't small at all.

Well on reading the report, it says that the fetus is small. I thought he was just saying the stomach was small in comparison to the rest of the baby.
I did end up doing a google search  and measuring the circumference of the abdomen is one way to get an indication of the baby size. So why didn't he just say that? He carried on with a lot of Dr dribble which I couldn't understand.
Anyway, you're right - it's not acurate. With my DS, I had to have scans at 36 weeks because they thought he was too big - he ended up being 8lbs 4 ounces like your bub which isn't massive - just on the other side of average I guess.
I'll be seeing my OB soon anyway so she'll be able to explain it all to me.
thanks! :)
