Hi all,
My DS is 7 months old and has been on formuls since 8 weeks old and all of a sudden he seems to have forgotten how to suck properly. He seems quite happy to have the bottle in his mouth but he just moves his tongue up and down but with no suction. It's really frustrating because feeds are taking twice as long now and he doesn't drink as much because he gets tired too quickly.

Do you think i need to change teats? He has been doing it for almost 2 weeks.HELP

My DS is 7 mo and he did this when I changed from 0-6 month size teats to 6-18 month size. It would take an hour to drink a bottle. Sometimes more. I changed back to the smaller teat and all is ok, except when his teeth hurt, and then I rub a bit of bongela on his gums, wait 5 mins or so and then try again. We are using the flat sort of teat - anti colic, I think, with the hole in the side (not that he had colic, I just thought it was a good idea ;) )

Good luck! :fingerscrossed:

I think you need a faster teat! It seems he is loosing interest and can't be bothered...good luck:)

I would definately try a faster teat. My eldest would get really cranky and give up rather than use the slower teat.
