We always do .
DH's family are very big fisher-people, and luckily they've only got back this weekend from a long trip catching fish ... nothing better than the fish they catch (whiting and black bream ...yummmmmmmm!)
To be honest we dont normally do Fish on good friday mainly because I dont like it.
However I have recently started liking Flake coz we get it from a nice seafood place on the coast so were going to my parents and Dad is battering the flake and making home made chips!
Im licking my lips already:p

Probably not.
DH doesn't like fish that much, and although we usually do eat fish on good friday, we are not doing any big family thing like we usually do.
This is going to sound horrible, but it's started to really annoy me, because of how much my BIL goes on about it. From the understanding we have been taught - you don't eat red meat as it represents the body of christ (so chicken/other seafood is OK, although fish is usually ont he menu anyway). From his POV you eat fish because jesus was a fisherman - and to eat anything other than fish is wrong. He has harped on about it a few times, made cracks at my DH (who is not christened or religious in any way at all) about how wrong he is to not eat fish. Now each to their own as far as i am concerned, but the BIL goes to church for weddings & funerals and does many other things that are 'wrong' so why does he feel the need to preach on this one thing? It is really irritating, so i am sorta over it.
I have sinned anyway - DD was born on good friday at 7am. I ate bacon & eggs for brekkie :o. We didn't realise what day it was until the bacon was on my fork, and I almost stopped - but the midwife commented that my body NEEDED replenishing - so if i wanted to eat it - not to feel bad. So i did.
