I'm I the only Mum with a 9mo in full time childcare?

I returnred to work about 6 weeks ago and DS is in full time childcare. He's the only baby there who attends full time and I was wondering how common it is to have a baby in full time childcare.

I don't want to be the only one :(

:hugs: It must be hard for you having to have your little one in care full time...my DD2 is in care two days a week, but I'm lucky as I work at the same Childcare centre that she's in. I have worked at centre's where parents have had their children in full time from 6 months old, so there is definately people out there....

Is it the stigma of " being a bad mother" beacuse your childs in care?

You returned to work... who else was going to look after your baby?

My son was in fulltime day care from 6 weeks to the day he started kindergarten. Dont feel bad that you have to return to work.... :hugs:

I returned to FT work when DD was 4.5 months old. Admittedly, she initially was with family, but by around 8 months (very sketchy memory!) she was in FT care at a centre.

Agreed, it is difficult, but please don't feel bad about it :hugs:. We do what we have to do. I found that DD thrived in care and absolutely enjoyed it! She still loves going back there (she's coming up to 8!) to see the staff as DS attends the same centre 1 day a week.

Both of mine were 6 months old when I went back to work and they went into long day care.

I guess I was lucky in the respect that they weren't the only little babies there at the time.

Don't feel bad, or guilty, babies tend to come into childcare all at once, or one every now and again. At the moment, where I work, our 3 babies who are FT are 12 months, and 2 x 16 months. Mind you, the 12 month old has been in care since she was 12 weeks, and it was fairly similar for the other two.

I've been back at work since bubba was 3 months, however he was with family until 6 months.... he is now in day care 3 days a week, he was in there for 4 days, but i took him out as he has been getting too sick....

Its a horrible feeling, leaving them there, however, bills dont pay themselves...
