I had every intention of getting bub into swimming 'lessons' this summer but one thing led to another and it never happened. Anyway We ahve decided it would eb a good Daddy thing to do so are going to get it happening on the weekends soon. However I am a bit worried about doing it in winter. Df thinks I'm being silly. But I just thing I'm setting myself up for a bub with a winter long cold. I know in an indoor pool there will be nasy bugs floating around everywhere. Also, bub is not immunised so I feel I need to be extra cautious.

What do you guys think?? Am I being silly?? Is there anything I can do that will help prevent him picking stuff up?

I take my son swimming and he absoultely loves it i have never thought about that factor that he may get a cold i dont really think you can prevent your kids picking up germs with the amount of things they try and shove in their mouths. I say go for it. When is your baby due for his shots

My hubby does the swimming lesson thing with our son (3). He has already booked him in for the winter term. I wasn't going to, but he has improved so much.

I'd go ahead with the lessons - there are no more bugs floating around in the water in summer than winter, in our swim school lots of people take there kids out during the winter months but I think this just prolongs them from obtaining a life long skill.

Im sure your beautiful bubs will love swim time with Daddy.

And it's not a silly question as we can never be too careful with our beautiful babes.:)
