What would you love to do?
A mother I work for is currently very stressed and I'm planning on pouncing on her with a surprise day where I'll look after the kids but I need something organised otherwise she'll just run around doing chores and I don't want her to do that, I want the day to be completely about her. So what should I organise? What would be your dream come true?
I think a day spa.
Massage, pedicure, manicure, facial.
Mmmmm I can see it now....
And I forgot to add......What a lovely and wonderful friend you are. We need more like you in the world ;)

Hmm for me I'd probably do the day spa too either that or go to a theme park so I can do the big rides not the kiddies ones

What an absolutely lovely thing to do for someone!!
I agree with the others, something at a day spa would be awesome - relaxation massage, pedicure, manicure etc
The movies would be lovely too - esp if like me she does not get the opportunity to do it very often.
A nice lunch somewhere, or even an afternoon tea at one of the posh city hotels (just for something different).
Let us know what you decide....

I would just want to shop and drink a good relaxing coffee with a good friend.
What a nice thing to do.
Movies are a great idea, or just go for lunch and eat in peace.
Doing some shopping, just for you, spoil yourselfs.

Day Spa is awesome but quite expensive if you're shouting
Lunch and a movie and maybe an hour full body massage would be nice. Although that's still quite structured to a schedule which you may not want
What a great idea and person you are.
Oh yeah and make sure dinner is cooked.

where do I start?
Massage is a fantastic idea. Coffee with friends, does non-interrupted sleep count?

What do I do, catch up on bookwork, do the groceries, mop and steam the floors, catch up on some washing and maybe some uninterupted BH time :p
What would I love to do, spend the day at a Spa, get a massage, a mani, a pedi, a nice glass of wine. Sit in the sun and read a book, a long lunch with friends.. spend some time on a lost hobby or intrest that you dont have time for any more. I could go on and on...and on...and on....and on...
I think a day spa.
Massage, pedicure, manicure, facial.
Mmmmm I can see it now....
:iagree: oh yes.. i'd spend the entire day there!!

no kids i either clean or sleep :)
If you took the kids out for the day and I was home alone I would .......sleep, read a book and even take in some simple pleasures like a bath/shower and toilet trip alone (in the peace and quiet).
If you were staying home with the kids (& hopefully making dinner so I wouldn't have to worry about that) - then I would definately catch up with a friend for a coffee/meal and see a movie and then spend the afternoon in the dayspa - manicure, pedicure, facial and full body relaxing massage..........then I could face returning home to the family!!
Now.........where can I get one of these friends that will organise and pay for all of this? Ah.... but to dream!!

Definitely clean the house and do shopping in peace and quite. These things will NEVER happen. Not in a hurry anyway.

Can I have 24hrs?
I would do the whole day spa thing, then curl up on the couch with a good book and read it cover to cover uninterrupted. Eat and drink what I like knowing DS wont be asking to have some. Luxuriate in using the bathroom at a leisurely pace - showering, shaving...whatever. Spend a while just sitting and listening to the silence. When Dh gets home have a catered gourmet meal, curl up together (no munchkins in between), and watch a good movie. No shower/bath/bed routine to worry about. Go to bed when we feel tired not when we finally get the littlies to bed. Sleep without interruptions and wake up when we're ready. Go for a long walk on the beach with DH, breakfast at a cafe overlooking the beach and then home to the kids.

Definitely the Day Spa thing, a spot of shopping and an afternoon of High Tea at the poshest place in town!
I see you're in Sydney..... perhaps a trip to the Blue Mountains, visiting a retreat for some pampering and then a nice lunch in one of the cute little cafes....
Bliss....

Maybe a movie at gold class cinema so she can recline, have a glass of bubbles and enjoy a chick flick? Followed by a massage or hair appointment that includes a head massage in one of those lovely vibrating chairs. mmmmm. This is a wonderful gesture on your part. You are a very beautiful person :goodvibes:
