I was talking to my mum yesterday & she told me that I cant use fluffies covers in winter :confused: She said all MJ's clothes will get as the fluffies will leak?

Any truth to that?

hmmm I haven't used a fluffies cover - so I'm not sure what they look like - can you describe what they are made from??? :confused:

I have used cloth and (my) covers - and have not had any leaks ...

I would have to assume that your mum is saying that the wee will come through the cover and onto the fabric because bubs will be wearing MORE clothes due to winter?? - so compression wetness maybe?? - I'd have to see the cover...

either way - dont stop using cloth for THAT reason... just look at a different cover?!! ... :yelclap:

Fluffies are a supermarket brand wool type cover iykwim. Back in the old days (like 15 years ago) :p there were pvc plastic pilchers & fluffies wool ones.


Oh and theres no way i'm stopping cloth, theres just something that makes me smile when changing MJ into cloth. Maybe its the strange looks in changerooms, or the glowing looks & comments i get from older family members & friends :laughing:

hmmm - I think I remember seeing some of those at the shops when I was starting out with cloth ... didn't buy any though... (must be a better option to the cheap pvc ones :rolleyes: ) - I hope someone on here can answer your questions better!!! sorry I'm not much help....

I personally do not link Fluffies covers at all! But I don't think their is any truth behind them leaking more in winter over summer! Can I point out though that lately on e-bay their have been quite a few nappy covers going for the same price as the fluffies if not somewhat cheaper. ;) And those covers will work 10 times better than the fluffies and your DD won't have such a big bottom!

Hey RB im not sure of the leaking either as i havent used them either but did you want to try a Greens out ?
Im quite willing to send one your way for you to try out :D

Otherwise yeah keep an eye on ebay as there are a few bargains to be had of late but watch out as you may end up fighting Oscar's mum or myself LOL :p
