For the past week dds inserts from her night nappies are coming out with a grey tinge to them. At first I thought it was because she was teething, but I read somewhere that wouldnt be it, and more likely to be from paracetamol - but she hasnt had any
I wash my nappies daily and they are cold rinsed first before a warm/cold wash. My nappies get full sun and are out for a full day. I have tried leaving the inserts in full sun for a couple of days but the tinge is not going .
It doesnt happen to her inserts that I use in her day nappies and I dont know if I should strip wash??? I use GK Bamboo inserts and boosters.
Any advice on what it could be??
TIA

have you given her anything recently with sobitol in it?
sorbital is the artificial sweetener in things
horrible stuff!
apart from washing and alot of sun time there nothing that will get them out

i also forgot a strip wash wouldnt do anything either
thats just if your nappies are repelling liquid from a build up of washing powder

My peapods inserts have been doing the same thing, I'm not sure if it's just because peapods are a bit el cheapo or what.
GK are good ones though, must be something different.
Sorbitol hey...I really doubt that DS would have had any of that  Unless they put it in blueberries these days. :p He's been scoffing blueberries like mad, his poos are blue now
Better go check the cracker packet then

She had a cold a about 2-3 weeks ago and was on dimetapp. I dont know if that has sorbitol in it, and would think it would be out of her system by now . Other than that, nothing else . Shes not a big solids fan so I know its not her food.

all cough medicines have sorbitol in them
we only use buawers here the cold medicine as well as the pain and fever one
and teething tablets
what that stuff doing to their insides if it stains the nappies grey
but i'd say the cough medicine is your culprit.
check the bottle
