Hello.

I posted the following thread in the General Health forum a couple of days ago but have only just noticed this area!

http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=162124

I was hoping that those with experiance may be able to tell me if it sounds like apnea or not..?
Since writing that post I have to say that I think most of the time it happens she is actually asleep in her swing (during the day only and she only has short sleeps) which actually means she isnt laying flat.
She is a very happy baby even though she doesnt sleep much, could this still mean she has it in some form?

I think it sounds exactly like apnea. Like i said at the other thread, its worth getting it checked out by the gp.

Dont expect a massive reply lol, i posted the same q's when dd was diagnosed and got next to nothing. good luck :hugs:

Thanks for replying again, somehow I didnt notice this forum before and wondered on the odd chance someone might see it here that didnt in the other area, obviously not!

Thanks again anyway. DD has an appointment with the GP next week for her immunisation shots so I will bring it up then. I think it has only happened once or twice since originally posting and no where near as bad as the time I posted about. Sometimes she tends to do more of a caugh though than a 'choke' sound IYKWIM. Will definately get it checked out anyway.

Hi
it does sound like sleep apnea ds has it and has been doing that since he was 5 months old and is only getting a sleep study done now. Push the issue with your dr to have a sleep study done it will put your mind at rest aswell and tell you how bad (or good she is). I hope all goes well for your dd. take care
