Just wondering if anyones used funky bun nappies made by Sheryn at K'Eltorr designs?
I am resigning myself to the fact i am very **** at flat terries and am thinking of biting the bullet and purchasing some fitteds. I've been balking because of the initial price, then when i buy a pack of sposies i cringe and think this could be one good clothie!
 haven't heard of them... is there a website you could link us to??

Her website is http://www.keltorrdesigns.com/
She's a WAHM at Kallangur...i bought a hatchling sling from her which is pretty good. Her nappies aren't badly priced compared to what I've seen around!
yeah - but sometimes you can waste money on the cheaper options - give me a minute - I'll ask on another forum I attend ( yes - I DO spend time elsewhere :D ) - its a nappy forum (nappycino) - I'll see if anyone there has tried them..

Fluffies suck. I friend of mine has some Funky Buns, she reckons they are good.
oooh a round of applause from the nappy lovers!!! apparently they are quite good... here are a few quotes ( I dont think these ladies will mind... I dont think I am breaking any rules :) )
Haven't bought them myself but havent' heard anything bad about them!
Pretty sure only good stuff!
I recieved my funky bun today and it is fantastic one of the best fitteds I have seen ....lovely and trim beautifully sewn and I love the fold over to hide/cover the tabs the fabric is sooo nice hemp jersey inside and cotton tropical rain forest print outside
all the comments I have read are positive :) I'd try them
oh - and PLEASE when you do try them... let me know how they go!!!!

Thanks for that! Will let u know what they're like. How many nappies do people generally have on hand? Not sure how many to buy!
Oh and can anyone tell me how to lanolise a wool cover? I was given instructions but baby brain has forgotten:o
I dont 'do' wool - not yet anyway - PM harry'smum - she'll help you out :)
I have probably 20 fitteds all up - but I think I need more... but make sure you are going to USE them before you buy that many - and I would think to only buy 3 the first time... to check that you LIKE that particular nappy before going back for more
have to go - DH wants puter :o

Just wanted to say that Sheryn is absolutely lovely to deal with! I have some hemp breastpads that she made, they're lush, and also she's sending me some hemp inserts. Hve yet to try her naps, but have heard they're great, have seen some positive reviews. She's lovely to deal with anyway. Good luck!

Thanks Jenny for the recommendation.
To lanolise a wool cover you buy some lanosioh (sp??? the stuff you use on your breast when bf) dissolve a pea size (I always use a littel bit more) in hot water then fill the container until it will cover the cover and until the water is luke warm. Leave it in there to soak (I usually leave it over night, this way if the colour runs it's not in the washing machine with all my other nappies), then roll it in a towel to get rid of excess water, dry and it's ready to use.
Jenny you should get some wool covers, you don't have to wash them after every use, only every 4 weeks or when they get smelly or soiled. Lanolise them every 4-6 weeks and that's it. They are so easy to use and I love knitting them as well. I'm about to add a design to one now.

Can't help with the nappy questions, but if you need help with the folding of terry flats, and would like to check out a great range of nappies on display - nothing for sale, just an info day check out www.modernclothnappies.org - we're having a few get togethers for Real Nappy Week Down Under.
