Ours was 'Best years of our lives' by the 'Baha Men'! We loved it, it's on the 'Shrek' soundtrack and we went to dancing lessons to learn a dance especially for it!

We kept it as a surprise from everyone, the MC announced we were doing our "first dance as husband and wife" and when the music started and we started dancing everyone stood up and cheered!! It was so fun!:smiliedance:

I loved the music we had during the ceremony and the reception so much we gave everyone wedding soundtrack cds instead of sugared almonds or chocolates.:yes:

When they were waiting for me to arrive at the ceremony they played 'This old love - Lior', I walked 'down the isle'(or through the park!) to 'Jupiter - Jewel'. We had 'At Last - Etta James' during the ceremony and 'Dela (why the dog howls)' - I've forgotten who sings it... But I first heard it in George of the Jungle.. When they introduced us as husband and wife after the ceremony ended.

We entered the reception to 'Captain Crash and the Beauty Queen from Mars - Bon Jovi' and cut the cake to 'Next 100 years - also Bon Jovi' (Dh is a fan!). When it was all over we played 'closing time'.

I still put the cd on and dance around, I love the music and some of it was picked years before I'd even MET dh!!

But I know it will be something old. I would happily dance to classical music/opera because I love it, but I don't think DP would be too thrilled with that... so I'd probably choose something like At Last by Etta James, or Moon River by Frank Sinatra or something.
