Hi,

I bottle fed my last baby and cannot for the life of me remember how long a made up bottle can last in the thermal bottle holder.

I had in my brain, one hour from room temp which is about three in the holder??

I usually take cooled water and formula and make it up as I go.

Does anyone have any advice about what they do?? I use avent bottles and holders.

I take room temp water in her bottles and a container of formula and make them up as I need them.

Hi,

I usually take out room temp water and formula and mix it up when I need it, but I have on occasion used the bottle insulator and I think it stayed cold for about 4 hours depending on how hot the weather was.

I was told that if the bottle is still cold to the touch then it is OK for bubs to drink, but if it is warm not to use it.

If you stick a few ice cubes in there with the bottle it will last a bit longer.

Hope this helps!

I pour boiling water into his bottles - seal them.. put them in the insulated part of the nappy bag - and 4 hours later they are still warm (perfect temp really) - then I add the formula.

I worry too much about the formula going funny if left to sit ..

I did the same as veve unless i knew he would have the bottle within an hour or so then i made one up & kept the others as water for later.
Luckily now i only need to take one bottle if we go out but i still take some formula just in case.

I bought a Grab'n'Go Bottle Warmer from the ETOC website. Its a "thing" you wrap around the outside of the bottle and to heat you activate it by clicking on a metal disc and it has a chemical reaction with the liquid inside. I just keep it in the car in case of an emergency if I have been out too long and my water goes too cold. It takes a little bit to warm it but it is good to have. It cost $30 inc postage
