HI
I was wondering if any one can help. I have been having hip pain in my right hip since Monday night. I was so worried on Monday I went to ED they didn't really say what the prob was except baby was ok, thank good ness. But it hasn't really improved and I was woken last night in pain ++++.
Does any one have or had this prob and what can I do to make it a bit better.
Help!

I had really severe hip pain throught the end of my pg, but not at the early stages - I ended up being diagnosed with sciatica, which is when the baby sits on the sciatic nerve which runs down your back, buttock, hip and leg. I don't know if this is what's happening for you, but it's probably worth going and getting checked out, cause they can give you help with it if thats what it is - I saw a physio, chiro and went swimming heaps to help me, and I learned to cope with it, although it didn't really get better until bubs was born - in fact, I still get a little bit of sciatica, but no where near as severe.

Good luck, hope you find the answer.

I had occasional (but pretty bad) pain in my right hip in the 1st trimester. But then I have started doing pregnancy yoga and aquarobics and it seemed to have helped. Back then my GP told me that hip pain is normal as ligaments soften during pregnancy. But I would say you need to monitor it and if it doesn't go away see a physio. Good luck!

I had REALLY bad pains in the start of my pregnancy and now being 22 weeks it has kinda eased off it actually eased off a couple of weeks ago but its ALL just stretching! i STILL get period type pains and aches and things but I wouldnt worry everything is stretching around there and EVERY pregnancy is different!

just put a hot pak on the area and take some panadol Im 4"11 so im pretty short and pettite so its a lot on your body!

try not to stress as it wont do anything!!!
