Hey guys,
This afternoon Codie started getting floppy and drowsy...took his temp 39.2!
He started vomiting and acting strange. So we took him to the hospital apparently has something viral:barf:
His temp was 37.5 at the hosp, but now that we're home it's 38!
I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on him all night.
Just had to tell someone.....:crying:

Poor little Codie !
Make sure he gets lots of cuddles over the next couple of days and keep his fluids up. It's so upsetting to see little bubbas sick...
Hugs to you:hugs:

With his temp up keep him stripped off to a nappy & singlet.
Use neurofen & panadol you can piggy back these with no problems & if these still dont bring it down keep him in a tepid bath as needed.
My bubs had roseolla a few months back & this is what i kept doing.
Its very hard when they refuse to drink but just keep trying every 10-15mins to keep him hydrated if he vomits more or has diahorrea (sp?) then just keep it to water, juice or the stuff you get from the chemist that helps with dehydration sorry ive lost the name good old mushy brain !
Dehydration is the big problem so make sure if he wont drink get it into him another way the bath will help as he will soak some up through his pores otherwise if he sucks on a facewasher offer that try anything !
Try & keep him as comfy as possible with lots of cuddles :hugs:
I hope things calm down overnite & you both get some rest :hugs:

My little piggy got up to 41.5 degrees recently...completely freaked me out! The hospital didn't do too much though - they told me to keep an eye on it. At least they gave her some nurofen and tested for a bladder infection. All was good.
Good luck with your little one. Hope he gets better very soon!

That's terrible!! I agree about the tepid baths thing and letting bub suck on the face washer, might not be the most hygenic thing in the world but if that's the only way to get fluids into bub then take it! My bubs only 5 months old but my brother was really sick when he was little and this is how mum kept his fluids up. Also I think you can buy rehydrating icy poles from the chemist but I'm not sure what age they can have them from.
Good luck and I hope you and bubs get some rest :fingerscrossed:
I hope you baby and you get some rest and tomorrow brings you some relief.

Allyoo, - Hydralite is the rehydrating fluid/icy poles you buy from the chemist.
Hope your bubba feels better soon Little Buddha Bub - it awful when they're sick, and all you want to do is make it better but there's nothing you can do. Claire had gastro a couple of months ago, and I now know where they got the pea-soup vomit scene out of "exorcist" from - she did a massive projectile vomit all over herself, me, the couch etc - poor bubba then smiled at me as if to say "that's better mummy".
I'll be thinking of you guys!
