Hi Girls,

Need some advice,

Well my DD has been so attached to her soft spout bottle just for comfort, she wont sleep during the day with out it, but she will at night.
if she's up set she wants it,
If she's bored she wants it.

Help!!!!

Today i went to the clinic and she said that we need to get rid of it before she is 2, i agree.
I got rid of my DS's when he was 6 months old! But she just wont come to the party!!!

She whinges heaps and heaps if you dont give it too her!

I have been trying for the last year to get her to part with it, even tried hard spout cups, but NO!!!

She can drink her milk out of a normal cup and has juice/water from a straw cup.

But these bottles are strictly comfort, she is just getting more and more attached, and will run around the house with it hanging out of her mouth until i take it off her! Bad for her teeth i know.

So does anyone have any suggestions????
HELP please!!!! :o

We gave DD1's night bottle to Santa Claus (just after she turned 3) last christmas and he left her 2 brand new shiny pink cups in it's place!! Easter is coming, maybe the easter bunny does the same thing....... ;)

Oops!! Exept for her bed-bottle I have tried to let DD make her own choices about giving things up so I guess I am not much help. Sorry :)

Hi.. I am having the same problem with my DD (17months) it is a confort thing..We moved from bottle to the tommetippee Nuby. It is like a sippee cup, shaped like a sippee cup except the sippee bit is made out of silicon (like bottle teats) she loves her new cups because they come in 'pretty' colours, but are soft like her old bottle. Hope that helps.

I cant even get boof to use his cups anymore
Only wants a bottle !
Grrrr !
He used to drink from his sippy cups around the 6mth age mark but now pffft forget it !!!! It gets thrown if i even offer it *sigh*
Ive tried 6 different sippy types as well as 2 straws !!!!
I am at the end of my tether ! :banghead:
So i can only imagine how this must feel !
Maybe try to offer her something else as a comfort ? Like a bear or blanket ? But i suppose this then only delays something else you need to wean her off but its a little bit easier i would think.
Good luck i think we both need it :hugs:
