I thought I would try & get a rough idea from some of you ladies just how long have you been ttc or did it take you to ttc? The reason I'm asking is DH & I have decided to go for #3 but we have in mind the age gap we would like between Charlotte & the next but worry we might not be able to conceive straightaway so wonder if we should try earlier(I hope this is making sense). We have no reason to suspect we will have problems but friends of our after their first two tried for three years to conceive but were unsuccessful. So if you don't mind sharing your experience I would be intrested to hear it.
Thanks Tara

I used an ovulation calendar (you can find them on the net) it tells you the days you are most fertile during each cycle. It also tells you when it might show in a urine test if you are pregnant. Three weeks after we started "trying" i was pregnant and i had been on the pill 5yrs prior to that.
This is the site i used. Hope its as helpfull to you as it was to me.:fingerscrossed:

We have been TTC for 13 months and in that time have had two ectopic pregnancy's. The TTC journey is on hold at the moment with DH away for another 5 months - but then we will be back on the horse (so to speak!)
Got my first post baby AF 6 weeks after birth (20/8/05) and have been trying since then, so 7 months.
The reason we started straight away is because it took 2 years to concieve #1, and after having a c/s it could take even longer, Dr told us sometimes in the few months after birth you can get a surge in fertility and we didn't want to miss any oppertunities for a pregnancy! Looks like it didn't work though :crying:
Well - i would say we really only started last month - after being on pill for 14 years we were not sure how long it could take - been a bit halfhearted this month - next month is the real starting line though - i think ive figured out when i ovulate - just have to get the timing right! So - practising for 2 months - really trying next month - 3 months.

We are still trying after a year but have found out I have polycycstic ovary syndrome which lowers your fertility so thats why we are taking awhile.
How long did you first two take? how old are you?
check out the thread about not tracking ovulation and letting things happen naturally. There are lots of girls there who fell rather quickly.
